What a little gem of a place absolutely fabulous setting lodge was super and comfortable with a fantastic view and stream running behind. Hot was welcome after walking and lovely at night. A lovely welcome from Gary and the cake was a nice surprise. Would definitely recommend and love to visit again.

We stayed in the withypool lodge. (1/12/17-4/12/17). Was a lovely place to stay. Great for all the kids, who are very hard to please. Place was nice and clean and catered for us all. Enough room for the 9 of us not all under eachothers feet. Hot tub was lovely even though it was winter. Lovely places around to walk. Use of the privte pool was lovely as rhete were so many of us. We will defo be coming back. Thanks Nethercott/short/James families x

We stayed in Appley cottage last week and loved it. Peaceful and relaxing break. I feel so refreshed it's amazing. Clean, well maintained throughout the site. Will definitely stay again and recommend it to friends.

We are currently staying here for the 4th time and we absolutely love it. We usually go for a 5 bed lodge but this year went for the cottage now that it has a private hot tub. Amazing location, so peaceful and quiet! Great facilities and we will continue to come every year! Owners are helpful and friendly. Such a beautiful place to stay at a really good price!

WOW, This place is beautiful, we are stopping in withylpool lodge it is absolutely stunning,very clean and spacious I can't say enough of how amazing it is the hot tub is the added bonus too

This our third time and won’t be our last beautiful place and I would recommend to anyone, the owners are very friendly and helpful. The hot tub is amazing, the lodge is great I feel it has the best views, very relaxing holiday indeed.

This is the 6th year we've been coming to these family run lodges. They are always very well maintained, the owners are welcoming, friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this as a quiet, relaxing place to stay with easy access into Devon or Dorset for those wishing to explore. Personally we love it.

Stayed here over Christmas 2015 absolutely loved it the hot tub was a huge plus and the kids loved it aswell as ourselves.

Very clean and Modern throughout, it would benefit with the electric included in the price as it's a coin meter but as we knew that before our stay we took £20 worth of pound coins with us ☺

Just come back from a weekend break away absolutely loved it can't complain about anything set in a real nice area the accomadation was top notch the hot tub was amazing and the little things like washing up liquid toilet roll tea and coffee with cake on arrival just adds that finishing touch to an amazing place will Deffo be returning with friends aswel next time ���

Just came home from a relaxing few days get away at the exmoor gate lodge to say we had a lovely time would not do it justice the owners diane and Gary were lovely and extremely helpful.



Unfortunately we only stayed a short while amd we wish we had booked for the whole week.



The lodge was beautiful and nicely set up, the view was lovely and the area was so peaceful.while on the balcony you could see a field which held alpacas and my brother became obsessed with them sitting out on the balcony in the morning with a cup of coffee



When we arrived Gary showed us to our lodge and explained how to use the hot tub and the electric meter that was inside the lodge, he also recommend local walks which sadly we ran out of time for, Gary also recommend a local pub the bear inn and the local Indian takeaway which were both as amazing as we had been told especially the bear in highly recommend visiting there during your stay.



After we were left to settle in we unpacked and noticed in the kitchen diane had left us a beautiful moist home made cake which was washed down nicely with a cup of tea. Which was made using the tea bags, sugar milk and coffee that had been provided to us in a little basket.



The hot tub was clean and just what the doctor ordered after a long drive and will sadly be missed by all in our party.



We also used the on-site swimming pool and steam room which was amazing especially with the fact We could privately hire the whole lot.



We would recommend this hoilday get away to anyone who enjoys peace and quiet.

Had an amazing week staying in withypool lodge. The lodge itself was well maintained and the amenities were brilliant. The hot tub was big enough to comfortable sit the 6 of us in and was covered which was good. The owners were lovely friendly people who couldn't do anymore to help us. I would definitely stay again.

Great relaxing break in the heart of the country kicking myself should have stayed longer, every thing is at hand and despite arriving late the owners couldn't be more helpful and friendly look forward to visiting again in the future

First time here, lovely staff. Facilities are well maintained. Gorgeous surrounding areas if you're into walking. Pubs with real ales very close by. Hot tub was amazing especially whilst it was raining. Would definitely recommend it to anyone thinking of visiting.

Brilliant place a hidden gem. Hire the pool it's great and you get it to yourself. Alpacas are worth a walk up to the field for and the hot tub is fab. Yes you pay for the electric as you use it but it cost us £10 for the weekend in march with the heating on all the time. Would you rather pay £50 extra for the holiday or pay electric ad you go �

Amazing beautiful tranquil place to stay!!! Lodge brake with a Beautiful private hot tub,woodland and running stream views wiles relaxing in the hot tub. Country walks. Indoor heated Pool. Local attractions to visit. Just bliss. Will be back very soon

Absolutely top notch. We stayed in the cottage. Very cosey and warm. All the facilities you could need and more. Hot tub was great and we used as much as we could. Well worth the money. Thank you.

Absolutely amazing weekend stay here. We stayed in the Liscombe lodge, it was perfect, very clean and had everything we could of needed. The hot tub was a lovely touch and a huge hit with our kids!! The hosts are very helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them, a lovely family run place. Would defo reccomend the use of the swimming pool facilities too! Beautiful scenic walks and local pubs nearby. Can’t wait to come back again. Thanks again for a lovely weekend break x

The lodge itself was lovely, clean and very spacious. The hot tub was a big hit with the adults and children in our party. The owners were also lovely and very helpful. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is, paying for the extras: electric, swimming pool, sauna and steam room and games in games room. Although we knew there was a charge for swimming pool and electric it just felt once we got there we needed to keep paying out more money. Having said that we would stay there again.
