Congratulations Mr Nathan Young and Mrs Grace Young who married on Thursday at South Causey Inn. Grace wished for the most chocolatiest of chocolate cakes so I hope this choc mud cake went down well! Apparently they've been eating cake for breakfast ever since the big day 😁 There are worst things to have to start off your day!

This might make you chuckle...... So I gets a message from Laura about making a 50th birthday cake, I never asked and she never said and we both assumed to other one knew who it was for. I was wrong thinking it was for her, my bad 🙄😊 Anyway all's well that ends well and luckily I sent her pictures well in advance of collection so that I could repair and alter so that the message was eventually made out for poor Andrew. Happy 50th Andrew!! Hope you had fun 😀 xx

From initial scribbled sketch to finished pretty cake with pops to one gorgeously kissable satisfied customer. I loved every bit of this cake order process. Many Happy returns to Leila Amarna who turned 1 recently. Mama Emma's brief was "posh Hawaiin" which I think we managed to pull off! Note the little toothbrush which little Leila has a bit of an obsession with! Great design ideas Emma Terrington xx

I just love making cakes! I especially love designing and creating wedding cakes. I love meeting couples who are so passionate about their wedding arrangements and want everything just so because I like everything just so too. It's great inviting couples for a consultation where they taste my delicious cake and I get to find out about them, their likes, dislikes, how they met (yes I love a good back story!) And generally have a good old natter over tea and cake. The best bit is then being able to take all of this info and put it into an amazing unique design for the couple. A completely bespoke service.
My wedding cakes are lovingly made with free range eggs, butter and locally sourced ingredients where possible. I try and use fresh fruits and non artificial flavours where possible. They are then coated in gorgeous belgian chocolate ganache before being covered with a high quality sugar paste for a flawless finish. My sugar work is beautiful and very neat and if novelty designs are your thing then look no further, my figures and modelling skills are second to none in this area. (I would say that though!!)

What an amazing job Amanda has done on designing and baking a cake for my fiancée 40th birthday. The cake looks stunning with fabulous decoration made up of all the sweet treats my other half likes, she's over the moon with it, thank you so much.

We have had 19 cakes over the past 10 years each one being unique and very challenging, we just give an idea and let the creativity begin and have never been disappointed it’s always an astonishing result we can not recommend enough to people how amazing they are

My 12 year old daughter had a one to one half day cupcake masterclass with Amanda this morning & had a fantastic time, the Harry Potter themed cupcakes she made looked & tasted amazing. Amanda gave her a choice of fillings, showed her various techniques, made her feel totally at ease & at the end presented her with a certificate along with the cupcakes to take Home in a presentation box. I would recommend the masterclass to any parent who’s child is interested in baking, mine is never going to be out the kitchen now !

I went to Amanda with an idea for our engagement cake, she was very friendly and helpful and made lots of suggestions but listened to what we wanted. She was always available whenever I wanted to message and make any arrangements. When we picked the cake up we were blown away, it was how I wanted/imagined it but even better. It tasted incredible too! She really is amazing at making cakes and everyone at the party was commenting on how brill it was. I will definitely come back to Fairy Hill Cakes for future occasions. I received a beautiful bouquet of cupcakes from a lady who has a huge � they were not only stunning to look at but tasted incredible. The colours were amazing and the buttercream light and melted in your mouth with the sponge so light with the perfect crumb and texture and flavour was Devine. You incredible lady the thought time and love went into each individual cake. They have to be on the top of my most wanted gift list forever. I can't thank you enough �

Great customer service and wonderfully creative cakes! Amanda made a beautiful globe cake complete with animals from around the world for my twin boys’ naming day and it was absolutely brilliant.

Cake looked out of this world amazing, taste was just as good! Had so many compliments on it at the party. Lovely lady and worth every penny! Highly recommend!

Amazing experience with Amanda. She made me feel so welcome in her home as we discussed ideas. She took little hints from my dress and my great Gatsby theme. Combining our ideas she created a cake that was a pure masterpiece and way to good to eat! With three different flavours guests were over the moon with chocolate, sponge and carrot cake delight! We loved it thank you so much for all the hard work! I will be back for our christening cake! X
