SPD Confusion? Switchgear manufacturers seem to be hanging back from developing Surge Protection SPD products at the moment to satisfy recommendations in the new 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (We've spoken to a few again this week). Perhaps they're waiting to see if contractors are planning on actually fitting them, due to adding on average another £150 to a domestic installation. As an electrical installer, would you have preferred this to be a 'regulation' rather than a 'recommendation' ?

Wanted a ceiling fan with lights for our master bedroom and decided on the Westinghouse Princess Trio 42" and the Radio Remote Control. Ordered these products on the weekend 6/7 of May, and the single parcel arrived at 09.00 on the following Wednesday 10th. Very impressed with the swift service by Fastlec. They certainly live up to their name. I can also say these items were cheaper than Amazon. and free delivery.The fan is now up and running and looks very nice. The remote works well also. There is a wobble when fan is on full but I think it's a slight imbalance which I should be able to rectify. Also impressed with the courier dpd for their speedy service.

Telephoned late Friday afternoon as we needed a part urgently and nowhere could deliver before the following Wednesday. Spoke to a very helpful gentleman who advised it was in stock and he would get it despatched the same day. Item arrived less than 24 hours later and the delivery was free. Amazing service! Thank you!

Problem when item delivered - response: no problem we will send replacement 1st class - that you for superb service, credit to the industry
