Ferny Crofts Scout Activity Centre

LIMITED SPACES - DON'T MISS OUT!!
Nerves of steel will be required for Ferny Crofts first ever Fright Night on the 20th October 2018.
This will be an afternoon and evening of frightfully spooky themed activities ranging from fun fair games and rides, pumpkin carving, meeting some creepy crawlies, a magic show and our onsite activities with a spooky twist.
... There will be a fancy dress competition so make sure your group come along in their scariest outfits. The day will finish with a Woodland Trail which will lead groups through a frightfully haunted area of the Forest and into the main Camp Fire circle area. The evening will conclude with all participants meeting around the Camp Fire.
​The Fright Night will run from 12:30 - 20:30pm and will cost £15 per young person. This does not include camping, which can be arranged separately (terms and conditions apply)
The event will be best suited to participants between the ages of 7 - 12 years old.
This event is open to all Scout and Guide groups.

LAST MINUTE CANCELLATION
The Mountbatten Lodge is now available on the 28th - 30th September due to a last minute cancellation.
If you would like to make a provisional booking for these dates, contact the office and a member of staff with gladly assist you.

Although they have not seemed as prevalent on site this year, it is always worth being prepared for ticks. We find the tick removal tools work a treat and recommend any groups that are camping on site to bring them along with them in their camp kit.

This evening is week two of the Ferny Crofts Summer Volleyball tournaments, where all the groups on site compete to take on the Ferny Crofts 'All Stars' Instructors Volleyball Team. These pictures are from last week, where the All Stars were defeated! Who will win this evening...?!

Oxted School have been on site all week enjoying their end of term residential. The pupils have taken part in a wide range of activities such a Mountain Biking, Rafting and Climbing.

PIZZA OVEN HIRE
We still have plenty of lunchtime as well as evening slots available to hire our onsite Pizza Oven.
Groups can hire this facility for £35 for a self-led session. We will provide all the cooking equipment required whilst groups provide all their own ingredients.

Our Tented Village has proved a great success so far in 2018!
This facility would be the perfect base for a Summer/Autumn camp and would remove the hassle of transporting tents.
The price starts from just £6.00 per person. This includes use of a mess tent with tables and benches.

It is that time of year again where Ferny Crofts are looking for our next Outdoor Activity Instructor Apprentices.
If you love being outside and want to work with young people, this is a great opportunity for you.
You will get paid to learn and gain lots of outdoor activity qualifications and will also gain a level 2 NVQ in Activity Leadership.
... Start date is the 15th October 2018 for 12 months. Food and accommodation is provided as part of your contract.
This is an exciting opportunity for anyone aged 18 years and over (as of 15/10/2018).

Calling all Hampshire Scouts!
Ferny Crofts are looking for some passionate leaders to run the three campfire evenings that are held on a Thursday night during the first three weeks of the Summer Holidays.
The dates we require someone are the 26th July and the 2nd and 9th August. The campfire evenings usually run from approximately 8:00 - 9:30pm but we are more than happy to be flexible with these times, in order to work around the availability of anyone able to do it.

This evening the Ferny Crofts Team have been out testing out the New Forest Water Park - a great evening out and only 40 mins from Ferny Crofts!

GREAT ACTIVITY CAMP here! Our Cubs LOVED their camping trip here this year, despite the weather being pretty ghastly at times! Still HUGE amounts of fun to be had here for ALL AGES!!

Friendly and helpful staff and a beautiful setting.

Fantastic site and activities. Brilliant communication from the team running up to the event and throughout our visit. Our Beavers had a fantastic time. Thank you.

Fantastic facility with so much to do. Enjoyed the 40th bday camp. Instructors were great and washing up/toilet/shower block clean and warm. Thank you!

Attended the 40th Birthday of Ferny Croft and my Cubs had a fantastic time They were thrilled with all the activities an challenges The staff were Fantastic friendly and whenever I visited they have always been helpful. They offer good range of activities at Ferny Croft. The location is amazing and the site is well laid out. Two points to bear in mind a) bring plenty of mosquito repellant and some Piriton as the midges bite a lot. B) make sure you have good pegs and a decent mallet as the ground is quite hard and stoney Stronger the better. Can't wait till the next time

Amazing camp site. In the 20 years I have been running scout troops this has always been my go to site. Great service and excellent staff. Activities are great value and camping fee's always been reasonable.

Amazing Place. I really enjoyed my 4 days there. I loved it alot. The activities also were excellent and fun.
