Stay tuned for the line up 🤩🤩

User

Love this place. Amazing instructors. Great classes. The only bad side is the silly booking system. I got stuck at work a couple of times and cancelled my classes last minute...got a message saying that I was going to be charged for the classes :-/

User

I moved from what was Virgin to Ferry, because my friends move to Ferry. I do not regret the move, and have not been tempted to go back to what is now Nuffield, even though many of my friends are no longer at Ferry. I have made lots of new friends.

The staff at reception are outstanding in their willingness to help you. Th classes are great and the instructors are enthusiastic.

User

Great place to swim with the kids. The staff are always helpful and friendly and my daughter had lost her precious Pandora bracelet and they found it and kept it until she picked it up.

User

Fantastic facilities and superb exercise classes.

User

The amount of decent staff that have left in the last couple of months is ridiculous. If those idiots who sit in offices actually showed some appreciation to their staff on the ground floor then they wouldn’t have left. You clearly have no idea about what customers want from their gym instructors & how long it takes for them to get comfortable with them.it’s not just a gym. Instructors have to get to know peoples bodies & personalities to help them achieve their goals, and that doesn’t happen over night- it’s a skill. I say sack the twats who are letting good staff leave without fighting for them, cause clearly your management skills suck arse.

User

I was contemplating joining after cancelling an expensive local gym which had limited evening classes I could get to (but which was MUCH cleaner).

However a key draw was Fight Klub - which I have now been attending every Wednesday I can since September. Now I learn this won’t be continued after 20 December. O no! Fight Klub had already I understand been reduced from three to two sessions and then to one session - please don’t take away the one remaining session! The class on Wednesday is almost always nearly full and most are loyal regulars who go on to use other facilities and classes. The instructor is also friendly, experienced, and motivating, and the music great (although acoustically the hall’s acoustics are poor). If anything we would like more sessions as one a week is not enough.

Also there are not enough classes like Les Mills Body Combat which now seems to be only one evening, no additional weekend. So I might investigate somewhere else to join.

User

Joined earlier in year and there was a great selection of classes. However I have found that classes that are well attended with great instructors are disappearing off the time table. Three Fight Klubs whittled down to one and now that is to go. The Les Mills instructor is leaving and a great kettle bells class disappeared. All were always full. Love the circuits class on Weds but will now do pay as you go and cancel membership.

User

Took my kids there for a nice early Sunday swim. Learning pool closed for maintenance and not enough staff to man a public swim, utter disgraceful! Never used to be like this. Poorly run by management!!!

User

This place never pick up the phone!!!!! No matter what time of day you called the centre it rings out!!!! But when you use fb they’ll answer you quicker than picking up the phone!

Nightmare service !!!!!!

User

This centre’s gym is an embarrassment. It only has one squat rack and one pair or dumbbells of each weight. This makes workouts impossible at peak times. Off peak I frequently have to wait 10-15 minutes for equipment if somebody else is doing a similar exercise which, when it comes to squat racks, is almost always the case. With its countless rows of underused treadmills, bikes, and ellipticals, this is a gym for people who prefer to cycle/run on a machine indoors as opposed to the fresh air. This gym urgently needs more lifting equipment.

Also doesn’t respond to messages. Lowered to 1/5.

User

Telephone coverage not fit for purpose, totally unacceptable

User

Staff untrained and rude, lifeguards looking like they are about to fall asleep , changing areas dirty and wet. It is a sad place.

User

So badly run they cannot even provide enough lifeguards to run a general swimming session on a Sunday. They have lost all of their decent staff as they are treated so poorly by management and above. Disgraceful.

User

Our daughter was enrolled here for swimming lessons, and has been for some time. They were OK. The facilities are OK (not great, but OK). It's not pleasant sitting (if you can) in the small, crowded cafe area but it's .... OK.

However, the management/service side is staggeringly bad. Our daughter's class was cancelled in January - but we were given no notification even though they had our phone numbers etc. Then it turned out that the class was cancelled permanently, but were still not informed - we heard about it through a friend (parent of another child in the class). We tried phoning to clarify, but can't get through. I emailed but got no response. The friend also go no response to multiple emails.

We also at this point noticed that whilst we had submitted requests for refunds for lessons that had been cancelled last year (you have to do this in person, on a paper form, even though they could just do it automatically). These refund requests have not been paid, or responded to.

We also realised that a direct debut payment had been taken by Fusion _after_ the date at which they had cancelled the class.

So - we made a special trip to talk in person (last Saturday). We spoke to someone on the desk (who was very good/professional, actually) who confirmed our emails had got through - but had just been ignored. She then promised that her manager would call us by Wednesday (and she herself followed this up with a clarification phone call). However, there has been no phone call/email/message from the manager.

They don't offer a waiting list for classes - even when they have cancelled them. The procedure for switching to another class is to turn up and hope for a vacancy. Our friend did this (after a different class was cancelled with no notification), and the teacher didn't turn up, leaving the kids shivering by the side of the pool for 15 minutes.

If the organisation worked, then all would be OK. However, it doesn't work to provide the service they supposedly offer, and it doesn't work to remedy problems that happen either. I would strongly advise staying well clear.

User

No one answers the phone, constantly informing staff of dirty changing rooms and no plastic foot covers, little info on cancelled lessons, still waiting for 2weeks refund for cancelled lessons, complete disgrace 😡

User

My two kids are in the swim school which is great, but they permanently cancelled my son's lesson from last week without notifying me. The reception couldn't help, and when I contacted the manager and swim school coordinator to try get a new lesson, neither of them replied. I have tried calling numerous times but the phone rings out every time. This is really poor form. I think I will take both kids out of the swim school and wouldn't recommend it because of this experience which is a shame because the teachers are great.

User

I learnt how to swim in this place. How times have changed! The service is awful. If you try ringing, it will ring continuously and no one will pick up it up or they will hang up, so you can never book by telephone. They want you to come in and book in person, which is not always practical if you are pregnant. All my emails got ignored to the management team so In the end I didn’t attend any swimming antenatal sessions as I didn’t know when they were. Won’t be going back here again.

User

Extremely disappointing what this place has become in a matter of a year. A regular member of 8 years and honestly constant cancellations, rude staff and horrendous customer service. Such a sad sad regression. You need more people like Perry and Lucy back.

User

As a regular swimmer at Swans I have complained on numerous occasions about the disabled facilities. The disabled parking is blocked by staff vehicles. The changing rooms are dirty with overflowing bins full of nappies and pads. The floors are soaking wet and the hoists frequently broken and left unrepaired. We have complained so many times but nothing changes, hence this post.
