A massive thank you to the 6 volunteers who were out in Fishponds today clearing up more off the rose beds and planting bulbs. Great work done greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Fishponds Park users, this is not acceptable. This was what we cleared up on Thursday morning at one bench. Approx 20 beer bottles & caps, cigarettes butts, small mini plastic zip bags and a cake tray. Please just use the bins and stop littering. Please keep your eyes peeled and report antisocial behaviour or littering to the local police.

We're squeezing in one more community volunteering day before Christmas, on Monday 10th December from 10am - 1pm, and hope a few locals will be able to join us.
There are two main goals. Firstly to finish off pruning and weeding the rose garden by Mayberry Place before adding some of the wood chipping as mulch. The second is to plant 250 bulbs which we were given, in the main park area.
Please note: Meeting point is in the Rose Garden by the Mayberry Place entrance to the pa...rk.
Tools will be provided thanks to the local conservation organisation Citizen Zoo as well as hot drinks & biscuits. Please come dressed for outdoor work, with sturdy shoes or boots, and warm layers and waterproofs.

A few snaps in today's sunny morning of areas of Fishponds where volunteers worked during Saturday's community action day.

Hi everyone, don't forget that our Community Action Day is this coming Saturday from 10am! If you enjoy using Fishponds Park or simply care about your local green spaces being properly managed and in a good state for people and wildlife, then come along and join us. Everyone is welcome and there are loads of different tasks to be complete from sorting out the overgrown rose garden to cleaning out a pond! We hope to see you there.
