Unfortunately, yesterday we had one of our charity buckets stolen from our shop. The bucket was raising money for Dorothy House Hospice and was sat on the front desk by the till. It had £40+ in it and was still raising more. The money being raised was in aid of a challenge being completed by a member of our staff Bec. This has deeply shocked and upset us all in the shop as Bec has worked tirelessly to raise money for her cause. This is not something I would usually do on this page, but in the circumstances I have added below her fund raising details incase anybody would like to support her, I know she’d would appreciate any donations no matter how small. Yesterday my two sisters myself and my nieces had a luxury afternoon tea at your beautiful shop. It was my first but definitely won’t be my last visit. The staff were amazingly attentive without being obtrusive keeping us well supplied with teas and coffees and leaving us enough time between the sandwiches, scones and cakes. Thank you all for an amazing experience I’ve already told my family I would like to come again for my birthday in August.

We visited for the festive afternoon tea on Sunday. It was perfect, friendly staff & amazing food. We ended up staying for quite a few hours & didn’t feel rushed at all & were kept in constant supply of fresh tea. Thanks for a lovely afternoon!

I took my mum here today for her 50th birthday. We had the delux package and I can't reccomend this place highly enough. The staff were super helpful, friendly and welcoming. The service from start to finish was perfect! Our food was so fresh and tasted delicious there was a wide range of sandwich fillings and cakes. My mum was so impressed and we will both be returning. Thank you for going to the extra effort of putting a candle in my mumd cake she was so pleased. Staff went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our time and we really did have a lovely lunch. The two ladies were both really friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. I also liked that the food was bought out to you in stages rather than having it all placed in front of you like most Afternoon Teas, it gave us a chance to really enjoy it and not feel rushed. Beautiful afternoon tea for my nanny’s 80th the food was amazing, especially loved the warm scones!! All staff welcoming and accommodating and made sure we had a very enjoyable afternoon. Will definitely be visiting again soon.

Absolutely loved the afternoon tea that we were served. The staff were wonderful and couldn't fault anything. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting a lovely afternoon out.

I can’t fault the food however one particular member of staff made everything awkward. One of our party and her 5 year old didn’t end up coming because they wouldn’t change the selection of sandwiches for them (at the Danson House tea room, they were happy to do a kids menu for my 2 year old without a problem). It was mentioned on at least 3 occasions that we didn’t have the ‘celebration package’ so it seemed as if they were making a big deal of it and we were told we had a time limit and so most of us took our cake home. It gave the impression that if you didn’t spend money on the packages then they were not too fussed. It’s not a great image. They also do not have baby changing facilities so we had to change a 6 month old baby on the floor. Can’t fault the food and the waitresses but the manager seemed stuck up and it would put me off of going back. I will definitely be visiting the Danson House one instead of here.

Food was like lovely, staff were friendly and very accommodating. A delicious afternoon tea

Beautiful afternoon tea for my nanny’s 80th the food was amazing, especially loved the warm scones!! All staff welcoming and accommodating and made sure we had a very enjoyable afternoon. Will definitely be visiting again soon.

Absolutely loved the afternoon tea that we were served. The staff were wonderful and couldn't fault anything. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting a lovely afternoon out.

I can’t fault the food however one particular member of staff made everything awkward. One of our party and her 5 year old didn’t end up coming because they wouldn’t change the selection of sandwiches for them (at the Danson House tea room, they were happy to do a kids menu for my 2 year old without a problem). It was mentioned on at least 3 occasions that we didn’t have the ‘celebration package’ so it seemed as if they were making a big deal of it and we were told we had a time limit and so most of us took our cake home. It gave the impression that if you didn’t spend money on the packages then they were not too fussed. It’s not a great image. They also do not have baby changing facilities so we had to change a 6 month old baby on the floor. Can’t fault the food and the waitresses but the manager seemed stuck up and it would put me off of going back. I will definitely be visiting the Danson House one instead of here.
