Fox And Hounds Inn

Built in 1728 and situated beside the village green. It is a family run establishment with a 3 bedroom Bed and Breakfast next door.

Christine Purvis and Stewart Mabon have ran the pub since August 1999.
The pub has a small but friendly public bar, a downstairs back room which is used for lunches and meetings, an upstairs restaurant which is used in the evenings, a courtyard for outdoor dining and drinking when the sun's out! ! ! ! and a beer garden to the rear.
The cottage next door serves as a Bed and Breakfast and has 3 letting rooms, not en suite though. There are 2 double rooms and a twin room which can be used as a family room.
All food served is traditional pub grub with many homemade dishes available. At lunchtimes a special menu offers selected main courses at 2 for £10. While in the evening the special menu offers 2 for £12.
Real Ale is on tap and the pub is in the CAMRA good beer guide for the 12th time. The regular being Scottish Borders Brewery Game Bird (abv 4% )' with a guest ale available in the summer /autumn months.
Other drinks for sale are Carling and Fosters lagers, John Smiths and Mcewans 60 /- and 70 /- beers, Guinness and Strongbow cider. A full range of wines and spirits are available and a selection of bottled beers, ciders and soft drinks can purchased.
The present friendly staff are Les, Donna, Louise, Lesley Anne and Michael aka Scratchy.
Regular Friday quiz nights are held fortnightly and occasionally there are race nights. Sky TV and Espn are avaiable for 42in TV.
