Celebrate the Summerhouse during its last Summer (in anticipation of a favourable planning decision) with this event for all ages from 3pm-12am, Saturday 8 September.
For most, the Summerhouse has been a hub for all members, whether it be a place to dine with the little ones, somewhere to celebrate special occasions, or unwind after a game of tennis. Whether you've visited it every day or every month, it's a part of club life.
The perfect setting to say your good-byes (with p...lanning expected to move forward in January 2019), this event will replace the annual ball as the pinnacle of this year's social calendar and feature something for everyone - the perfect summer's day out.
Beginning as an attraction for the whole family, the event will feature special guest appearances from none other than Alice (in Wonderland) and the Mad Hatter - with our beloved mascot, CJ of course whilst you tuck in to our Summer BBQ and listen to live music.
At 6.30pm, tuck your children in bed and return as the walled garden transforms into a party for the adults, with more live music followed by a DJ, an evening buffet, fireworks and our friendly staff waiting to prepare your favourite tipple to see off the Summerhouse in style.
On this day, this area can only be accessed with a wristband. Wristbands include access to all of the above (including complimentary food; drinks not included) and will be supplied on confirmation of booking with the Events team.
Members - ÂŁ25 adults / ÂŁ10 children Visitors - ÂŁ30 adults / ÂŁ15 children

We had a lovely lunch with a lovely view. Good and service were excellent. We will be back and are recommending this to friends.

User

Really beautiful, stayed in one of the garden rooms. The spa is much improved by the enlarged steam room. I was allowed to order Chinese takeaway to our room too and was given plates and cutlery with no problems. The only small issue I had was that the bar staff need to be trained to understand that by law they have to serve a 125ml glass of wine. Apart from that - just perfect. Front of house staff also much improved. Thanks.

User

I would definitely recommend foxhills. I have stayed here twice now with my boyfreind and found it amazing. Lovley views, peaceful and a beautiful spa. Staff are great and made us feel valued as customer's. Rooms are clean and breakfast was great. I will definitely be visting again 5*******

User

Had an overnight stay at Foxhills and was extremely impressed with the size of the room; the only downside is it was extremely warm.

I enjoyed a well cooked meal in Nineteen, the staff were attentive, the food was hot and well prepared. The breakfast was enjoyable and again the staff were attentive.

The hotel is in a beautiful setting and I enjoyed a walk around the grounds. The 9 hole golf course is free to use by guests but I didn’t make use of this facility. The spa was fully booked so I wasn’t able to experience the facilities however the staff were very pleasant.

Overall I would recommend this hotel and will certainly look to stay again.

User

Had a relaxing morning round the pool a lovely lunch outside the summer house

User

Beautiful Manor House and restaurant. Excellent food in the Manor House restaurant, food was cooked to perfection and the staff were lovely. My fiancé and I thouroughly enjoyed our stay. Had a amazing facial massage which left me feeling completely stress free. It was a wonderful experience. Would love to go back again.

User

Stayed for one night, loads of parking and receptionist was very friendly and polite. Had basic room, very large with a balcony, bathroom was also large with bath and separate shower. Went for the Spa, again very friendly staff, very clean, pool, sauna, steam room very nice and at temperature they should be. Changing rooms very clean and showers hot. Didn't eat there but had a drink in the bar, again found staff very polite and bar area very clean. Breakfast was nice, good choice of English and continental breakfast. The Hotel is made up of different buildings so you need to walk from one to the other for Room, Spa and eating. Would I stay again......i would yes but with other nice Hotels in the area I would have to try somewhere new first. Foxhills is still worth a visit tho.

User

Excellent facilities. But no help with luggage not able to pull up outside hotel. Also on friday night impossible to find anywhere to eat with our six year old. Restaurant too posh. Other restaurant admit only over 18s and the summethouse was closed. Forced to have room service in a private dining room. We didnt get the food until 9.00pm which was much too late for our 6 year old. Something should be done for families. Very dissatisfied with our experience

User

We stayed for Valentine’s Day for one night including a meal.We arrived late afternoon and had sandwiches and coffee.Mine was a calypso coffee but was cold enough to stand you finger in it.Then we had an espresso martini which was weak.

The room was nice enough.

We asked to sit in the main dining area for dinner but were told it was full but on arrival and the duration of dinner it was one siting and not full at all.

Dinner was good. There was a lack of atmosphere and the bar was empty and needs to be livened up maybe a pianist ?

We went to bed at 10 as no one was in the bar.

The next day we went for a nice walk in the grounds then for a drink before we left and no one was in the bar area to serve us so eventually I had to go and ask at reception.

When we checked out and paid we were overcharged by ÂŁ145 !!!!

All in all I wouldn’t go back but it was alrightish.

User

The Long Cross course was very wet and boggie in many areas, buggies was a no no but still a great track to play.

The service around the site in the bars, restaurant and hotel needs a massive shake up so poor and disorganised.

The staff don't have good attitude for customer service, probably all fed up with being moaned at because the place is such a shambles. Eg. It takes 20 minutes to get a cooked breakfast and then you have to ask or chase up for cutlery and sauces and drinks.

It's a real shame. Hopefully someone will get hold of it turn it around.

The rooms have no air conditioning but are very spacious.

Sadly 7 of booked but wouldn't return.

It seems many people feel the same, how long can a business keep losing customer's ?

User

My sisters and I took my mum for an afternoon tea... it wasn’t cheap, but the tea was mediocre... sandwiches were a bit dry and not much filling.. cakes were pretty good tho. Nice setting and good service..

User

I went there for a birthday lunch with friends. The service was first class ., the food was nice, my pudding was over microwaved so couldn’t eat it, was offered a replacement, would go again

User

For a 'flash' hotel, it was pretty bad. We even had to ask if we were at the reception desk as there was no signange. We had to call and ask where our luggage was, then only half of it was brought to us, the milk in the fridge was off. Our bin wasn't emptied and our tea wasn't replenished. In the XIX restaurant, the service was non existent, we were never acknowledged by staff, we were never asked if we wanted more drinks. We had to try to get their attention just to get the bill.

The room was great, nice and large.

The Spa staff we're excellent, we couldn't fault them or their service.

User

The hotel was as I expected, other than the first room we were offered- which was unacceptable (small, threadbare carpet, miles from the main hotel etc). The spa was truly awful. So bad, in fact, that I have complained formally to The Good Spa Guide. The products they use are excellent (I always research this) but the staff I encountered were not well-trained and on occasion, quite rude. This is my opinion based on 20 years of visiting day spas and spa hotels.

User

Rude staff, poor customer service, in need of refurbishment in the main building. Staff need to have their mobile phones on silent when replenishing refreshment in a training room. One staff member came into the room three times and three times his phone rang. Very poor service for a very high price.

User

I would describe our stay as hit and miss. If you are used to leading, amazing spa experiences then this isn’t for you. It had a leisure centre feel about it, not special, not exclusive and not particularly clean. There were discarded plastic cups everywhere, not enough seating.

The room was ok, just ok and we over-looked a gang of noisy children ’playing tennis’ for two hours so I wouldn’t recommend room 38 if you’re hoping for some peace and quiet in the afternoon.

The room was incredibly hot and despite the fact that it was mid-October, we left the balcony doors open all night. The heat came from the hot-as-the-sun towel rail in the bathroom which couldn’t be turned down or off. We left the bathroom door closed but still the room was just roasting, which made for a ropey night’s sleep. No duvets here either, just a European-style single sheet, which seemed weird on arrival but now we realise why. No air con.

The one area where money has clearly been spent and it is fabulous, is the gym. Lots of equipment and machines, beautifully maintained.

There was no hotel information in the room; breakfast times, opening and closing of the gym, a site map, fitness class timetable, how to make the most of your stay, a phone directory for the various departments etc. I would have expected this as the hotel’s website is clunky to use and not very helpful.

The reception staff were ok, not very welcoming really. The spa staff were non-existent. The only time I felt like we were looked after was at breakfast. The waitress was attentive.

Overall, we’ll not be staying again, instead pay a little more and stay at Pennyhill Park hotel. Now that’s an experience you’ll remember for the right reasons.

This stay was worth £120, not £220 and I’ll be writing to the hotel separately and hoping for a fair refund to reflect our average experience.

User

Anniversary stay completely ruined by shocking service and terrible food in 19 - we opted for there as we wanted something different from ‘fine dining’ and not wanting to get all dressed up for dinner. Big mistake!

The staff were horrendously rude, scathing and when I complained about my food I was met with a tart response “the chefs gone home!” and then he walked away! I took photos so I can support this all.

Our suite was just fab but the requested bottle of sparkling fizz to be in room on arrival didn’t happen.

At check out I made a quite complaint regarding the terrible food and service and the receptionist immediately removed our food charge from bill which was a nice touch. But the knowing look she gave me when I began to complain left me feeling that this is an ongoing issue.

The card machine was broken as we were checking out so I was informed my card would be charged later and that I’d receive a confirmation email. I did..... but for a completely different room for a stay that had taken place mid August!!!! So upon phoning I spoke to an American sounding lady who said she’d send me a new email, which she promptly did. But what shocks me is the breach of confidentiality (I’m a midwife) as the original email had this other lady’s full name and address on it!

Anyway, rant over I have to say the Spa staff were amazing. Immaculately professional and friendly. Thank you ladies!

So if you after lovely accommodation and a nice spa with tons of recreation (golf/tennis etc) then you will enjoy yourselves throughly. Just give Ninteen a complete wide birth!!

User

The amounts blocked on my credit card when checking-in are still blocked more than 2 weeks after our stay. Calling the hotel and complaining did not make one bit of difference.

User

Rude staff, awful rooms with no cold water and nothing done about it. Food quality average and just generally poor guest experience definitely not worth ÂŁ220 a night single occupancy. When asked to speak to management absolutely no one came forward.

The amounts blocked on my credit card when checking-in are still blocked more than 2 weeks after our stay. Calling the hotel and complaining did not make one bit of difference.

Rude staff, awful rooms with no cold water and nothing done about it. Food quality average and just generally poor guest experience definitely not worth ÂŁ220 a night single occupancy. When asked to speak to management absolutely no one came forward.
