Friends Of Kent College, Canterbury

We run social events and raise money to benefit the pupils of Kent College Canterbury and local charities.

Welcome to the Friends of Kent College

Who are we?
The Friends of Kent College is a registered charity and has an active committee with representatives of Parents, Teachers, Senior Leadership Team and Governors from Junior and the Senior School.

All parents of children at the school automatically become a Friend of Kent College. Funds are raised via a small yearly subscription added to the school bill and via various fund raising events throughout the year.

What do we do?

> Social events for Parents include:
Quiz nights
Gastronomy evenings
Christmas and summer fayres
Year group lunches and evening meals

> Educational Grants for Students
To attend a range of courses such as an Eton Choral course, PADI Open Water Diving course and Philosophy summer school

> Equipment Grants for School
Have included a defibrillator, life guard training and bike racks.

> Courses for Parents
Parenting Teens workshops
Mindfulness

> Coffee mornings and afternoons
Are both very well attended at the Junior and Senior School

> Thrift shop
Any profits made from the sale of second hand uniforms are donated to the Friends.
