My first experience ordering with GAK and even with everything that could possibly go wrong with my order, the service I received was outstanding, as they have worked so hard to make things right. I couldn't recommend them enough, they're amazing! I ordered a Fender Jim Root Telecaster with a Boss Katana KTN50 for my partner, was helped by the wonderful Charley, who went above and beyond with the assistance she's offered. The price was fantastic, delivery was prompt and they even held the stock in their warehouse for a fortnight, until his birthday!

We decided to place another order, as I had my heart set on the Orange Micro Terror Bundle with a Squier Mustang. I had seen both items for much cheaper elsewhere and decided to contact Charley, who instantly price-matched them and arranged delivery. As it was over the festive period, items were out of stock-resulting in delays (completely understandable), nonetheless she kept me updated at every point. The only let down was the courier service DHL - unprofessional, useless and liars claiming to deliver a guitar that never turned up!! Charley and GAK have handled this mishap effectively. Exceptional service. Just waiting on my guitar. Love GAK, great selection, professional, friendly service and competitive prices. Will be using them in the future!

I’ve just received my ex demo guitar amp which is emaculate. Really pleased with the next day delivery and despite it being an ex demo, nothing was missing, the original box was included and all the cables look brand new. The package was traceable through fedex and was delivered promptly. Great service and great quality for an ex demo

I travelled up from Portsmouth to visit GAK (having been impressed with the goods and customer service previously), to try out a Boss VE 20 vocal processor. I had called ahead and everything was already set up for me to try it out. A lovely member of staff called Elizabeth talked me through the functions and answered every question I had. I was given as much time as I needed and left alone to play around with the VE 20. I was there with my husband who also purchased Boss compressor pedal for his bass, we were made very welcome throughout the store and treated really well. Elizabeth's vast knowledge and experience was a massive help and she was an absoloute delight to talk to. Thank you GAK, I love my new VE 20 and we will be back for a seperate reverb pedal for my sax, it was a real pleasure to spend time in the store.

I ordered online an Ibanez acoustic guitar from GAK. Originally, I was looking for a specific design and neck. Calling them up, the guy who served me was very helpful, even when I was asking about the look of the guitar I imagined which was with a koa look. With the information he gave me, I believed what he said, and a few days later my order arrived pretty instant, faster than I thought. I am so happy with the guitar I bought in the end!

I Don’t usually leave reviews but felt this was a must. First time ordering from you guys and actually cannot get over the standard of service!! I ordered a guitar pedal at around lunchtime yesterday and I received it today just after 3pm (north east Scotland)!!

Great prices, NO STUPID DELIVERY FEE!!, quick on the emails. Much better than some of your competitors!! Will definitely be using you again!

Fantastic service from Jamie. My son, Tom bought a 2nd hand Fender Strat which was serviced and set up ready for our collection today. Birthday boy was totally delighted and chuffed to bits with his superb purchase. Jamie and all the staff were really helpful, passionate and cheerful. Thank you. I think we might be back somehow.

Excellent service. I was allowed to play anything I wanted, for as long as I wanted. Exactly how guitar shops should be. On my second visit a few days later, the same young guy served me. Again, being allowed to try out different models, I found the perfect guitar for me and I bought it (Squier Jazzmaster). Highly recommend a visit

Brilliant... Always pop in here whenever I'm in Brighton, have bought a couple of guitars before as well as various bits and bobs - and even if something isn't in stock in shop they will always get it in for you as soon as possible, sometimes even same day. Ordered a TS808DX pedal which was out of stock pretty much everywhere else and the delivery was so fast (free next day) as well as great communication with delivery times etc. Huge thanks!

Bought and ordered a lot of things in the past. Staff are massively helpful at guiding you through the mass of gear available. Eventually settled on a Mexican tele and a vox nightrain in the past, both at a great price and both still in use.

Ordering online is always prompt and well packaged - best place to get your strings & things. Wouldn’t use anyone else!

Bought a set of DiMarzio 36th anniversary PAF pickups and some bits and bobs to upgrade one of my guitars. I had to write to them couple of times and even when I had to call them, as I was unsure they were very helpful and understanding. They even managed to get them in cream color which suits the style perfect. Would definitely recommend!

Always had good prices on wide range of items and I always got excellent delivery, fast and in good condition. Highly recommend.

Really pleased with my purchase- Guild acoustic. An amazing selection of guitars and helpful staff, only problem was hard to try out different guitars and get a real feel for them as lots of background noise and instruments, good to go in with an idea of what you want as easy to get distracted!

My most recent purchase was a Line6 MK FBV USB Foot switch with various leads and a Boss FX pedal - both where not in stock at first but when they came in to stock I was notified immediately and they were shipped promptly - would have been 5 stars apart from the fact I paid a higher price on the website for all the items as I had purchased from GAK many times and believed it to be reliable, but on deliverly the leads I had ordered where all completely wrong, if I hadn't of found use for them it would have meant a full return order. Customer service won the day.

Bought a load of gear. Now waiting for delivery. Would have got 5 stars but several items shown as in stock on their website (and, since I just checked, still showing as in stock and available for next day delivery right now) are in fact out of stock and won’t be available until the end of the month. Highly misleading.

never had good service in there , they say they will get items in from the warehouse to view but then they are not there when going back at the specified time or day , they never get the items in you needs , not good at returns , usually no interest in the customer . Only go there when need to and as in Brighton .

My recent experience of GAK is that they are a bunch of incompetent liars who couldn't give a flying fuck about you once they have your money. I went into their shop on March 11th with my son. We paid for a Roland keyboard that was not in stock. We were told that it should be available for delivery in 2 - 3 days, certainly by the end of the week and that we would receive an e-mail the next day confirming the delivery date.



Three days go by with no communication from GAK. My son phoned them on Thursday to be told that they always get Roland stock at the end of the month and not before. He asked for the original sales guy to phone him which, of course, he didn't. I spoke to someone else who said that, despite what guy 2 had said, we should receive it the following week.



Friday 23rd we receive an e-mail from Phoebe saying ' Apologies for the delay on your FP 30. Roland have delayed the shipment so as it stands, it should arrive just after easter. Once again, apologies on behalf of the supplier! I hope this hasn't caused you too much inconvenience.'



So they are blaming Roland. I phoned and spoke to Phoebe to ask on what basis she was saying that we should receive it just after (whatever that means) Easter. She had no information about their next delivery so the 'just after Easter' claim was a total lie.



We noticed that many other UK retailers who were previously out of stock now had the keyboard available for next day delivery. So there was a UK delivery but not to GAK. I spoke to one of the other retailers who told me that they and GAK would not be receiving further deliveries from Roland until the end of April. So Phoebe's claim of 'just after Easter' actually meant at least another month after Easter.



I phoned and asked for a refund and she said I had to go into the shop. Total rubbish but I'd had my fill of them so I phoned my credit card company and cancelled the payment.



A deeply unpleasant experience that I will certainly not be repeating with GAK. Their philosophy seems to be - take the money and then tell the customer any old crap to stop them asking for a refund.

I ordered an acoustic guitar on Thursday which was advertised as having next day delivery. I got an email late in the day saying it would be dispatched on Friday and will arrive Monday. I replied that I would like to have it on Saturday and would have to cancel if it could not be delivered. They cancelled the order and set up a new order for delivery on Saturday before 12pm. At 5.23pm they emailed to say that they wouldn't be able to dispatch until Monday to arrive on Tuesday. Now this leaves with with no alternative but to cancel and no time to order from elsewhere. I think their website is dishonest as it said this item was in stock at the time of ordering and was available for next day delivery. They also state on their website that lines are open until 8pm on weekdays - I tried to call at 5.28 and couldn't get an answer on any of the options. I certainly won't be purchasing from them again.

I ordered a guitar pedal and it came to me broken, I emailed twice now over the last couple of weeks asking for the same pedal and that I want to return this broken one and they haven’t even replied.
