User

the fruit and veg were great, only ripe raspberries seemed in short supply, although another day or so will replenish. The restaurant, as others have said, was a disappointment. 1 hour from joining order queue to food arriving. 3 toasted sandwiches, 1 salad and a child's fishfingers is not great. We shall PYO again, but will eat elsewhere. 5 stars was for picking, we would rate restaurant 1-2 for service.

User

Went pumpkin picking with my children, which we couldn't do locally to our home. But it was well worth the 45 min journey. The shop was amazing with Christmas displays, lovely little playground and the restaurant was fab. Really good menu and food was worth the money. We all really enjoyed our visit and will definitely come back closer to Christmas for tree decorations .excellently run . Well done to the management

User

We had a great day picking our own fruit and veg. Think the new on the door payment is an excellent idea. Helped the day run so much smoother. Our children love coming to Garsons. We even saw a mole! Would recommend as a great day out for families.

User

We come to Garsons two or three times a year to pick fruit and veg. On our most recent visit, we picked pumpkins, cauliflower and cabbages. The children I nanny for, always love coming. We had lunch in the picnic area, then visited both the gift and farm shop. The prices are a little high, but the food is of fantastic quality! We will back in 2018 👍🏻👍🏻

User

Visiting Garson's farm for 20 odd years now. I am a fun of potatoes (please take your own shovel, garden one. And gloves). Plenty of space, good idea for little ones to see food growers. Additionally I love scarecrows. On our last visit I noted that piknic area had been re located ... Not sure that it was a good idea.

Farmers shop is ok but dearer. Lots of not so local produce.

User

The best roast dinner on a Sunday! (Unless I’m cooking of course)

Great value, lots of fresh veg & they offer a Child size too which is more than adequate for my 9yr old...

User

Excellent as always, always so much variety

Food really good.

Staff friendly.

User

As per usual what a fantastic day out.

Not a lot of fruit on offer. But all the same was a great day out.

The farm shop also sells some fantastic bits.

Can't comment on the restaurant as I was full of fruit.

We always walk with a fresh bottle of water to wash the fruit before we eat it.

I have been going for over 8 years and I have never been asked not to eat the fruits.

For crying out loud they are all over the trees and shrubs. So so much.

Sometimes people just pick them and leave them on the ground. Very wasteful..

The staff are always polite always a good experience

User

We took the children fruit / veg picking and they loved it. The only downside was there were no strawberries left at all to pick as well as no broccoli ☹️ They loved the blackberries, raspberries, carrots and beetroots though.

User

So many fresh vegetables available in this farm and you can pick by your own hand .wonderful!!

User

I love Garsons Farm the grandchildren had an amazing time, inside and out.Had lunch in the restaurant, while the childrens meals were o.k (did ask for peas not b.beans)they did change it promptly. Our jacket potato with beans and cheese we had to send out a search party for the cheese.A very miniscule portion of cheese considering what we paid £6.95 each.

User

Having been brought by my friend as a special treat very disappointed that the jacket potatoes with cheese was just a jacket potato with barely a sprinkling of melted cheese (which should have just been grated) with some salad for £6.95 - very expensive cheese!!!!!!!

User

We visit each year and this years seems to have been the worst. Not much available did have half of what we really wanted. Restaurant was a joke sat at a dirty table for 20 mins. Went to get someone to clear it. To have about 10 mins the same women complaining to the people sitting next to us about people moaning about the tables not being clean and the farm shop is well over priced

User

We stopped off here as a last minute outing. Lovely atmosphere and clean and tidy. My only hang up was the café/restaurant. There were no trays and it was busy. We ordered cream teas and I had to push back through the wue to chose my scones and get the Jam. I had a very small round tray and not once did staff offer a tray knowing there were more at the till. I have a bottle of coke on the tray a glass 2 tea pots and 2scones. The coke (which was £2.45) spilt everywhere. After cleaning myself up I got to the table to find dirty cutlery in the racks for use. Personally I think you need a bit more order or some kind of system in in your restaurant for the busy periods and be a bit more helpful to your guests!! Especially as not everybody will have been there before( like myself). I enjoyed browsing the shop. The play area is really only aimed at smaller children so my two couldn't use it. I would go back to Garsons but only to shop.

User

Went for a bite to eat there ....... Have to say the food in the restaurant is well below par. Order the gammon egg and chips .... Well let say the gammon was more like thinly sliced ham (and I mean thinly sliced) and the chips were cold bordering on uncooked . Would not eat there again .

But the place itself is great would take the young ones next time ..... But not to eat

User

We recently visited the restaurant for tea and were appalled by how dirty the floors and tables were. No effort had been made to cleanup the spilt food on the floors or clean the tables of empty plates and messed food. I couldn’t wait to get out of there as it felt dirty. I won’t be back until I hear things have improved. Very disappointed

User

We made 30 miles to come here with kids to enjoy farm experience and ended up having a blatant farm woman chasing us and kids on the crops shouting "don't eat, you are thief!". We been to the farms before but this was the worst experience ever. Considering how much their crops costs it is easier to buy them from Tesco and leave that idiot woman without a job. Any other farm but not this.

User

The new charge for picking is totally inflexible. We have been picking at Garsons Esher for nearly 30 years but now cannot go as a couple and just pick a blue punnet of strawberries unless we want to pay £8 for the privilege. You don't always want to pick lots of fruit & veg. Sorry Garsons you've now lost our patronage for the food and garden centres too!

User

The new PYO payment set up is going to lose you a lot of customers! £4 per adult and half the crops are closed. Such a shame, we've visited for years and won't waste our time or money now.
