Spot on food and deserve, would recommend!
Service a little slow and they forgot my g & t but the food more than made up for it. Waitress was really friendly. Would definitely return

Love this place - the food, fine wine, service. Lighting , sea view and atmosphere. Been here with Chris 2 years running and planning to return same time next year.

GB1at the Grand Hotel serves some really fantastic food. Amazing flavours and beautifully presented. Yes it is smart but if you are up for eating great food in a famous restaurant then I would recommend this to anyone. Service was good and not to over the top. They offer some great cocktails our waiter was Jaris and my word he was good at his job he was from the South of France and had a great understand of the wine list well done Joris we will be back.

Excellent staff, service. The food was amazing too. Particularly loved the cherry kola, water melon and elderflower sorbets :) thank you. Delicious cocktails too! Everything was perfect.
Booked up the Seafood Afternoon Tea for a friends birthday and it was FANTASTIC - great staff, really warm and welcoming and the food was scrumptious, the homemade lemonade was especially refreshing and tasty.

We didn’t get the full effect of our sea view table as the facade is currently scaffolded. However, the hotel interior is magnificent and the GB1 restaurant is very well presented. The menu is primarily seafood but plenty of other choices if you like. My son loved his oysters and my husbands haddock scotch egg looked fantastic. I had no regrets with my choice of scallops to start and cod wrapped in pancetta for main. I really enjoyed the broad bean, pea and asparagus it was served on too, very fresh. The cod and chips was very large (although my husband coped) and we were too full for desserts. Great coffee though. Our waiter was brilliant, efficient and friendly and he really made the meal for us.
