About Generic Robotics

Generic Robotics produces training devices for clinical skills built around “haptics” – the science of touch feedback.

Generic Robotics Description

Based within half an hour of London, Generic Robotics Ltd. is an innovative company developing interactive computer based simulation combining Virtual Reality and Haptics.

We are experts in the field of computer haptics, which is the science of providing touch interaction with machines, not like a passive touchscreen panel, but the creation of realistic forces and textures which can make you believe you’re touching and physically interacting with a virtual world.

We apply our knowhow and proprietary haptic technology to training and education, focusing on the development of simulators to train clinical skills. Using our systems, clinicians of all varieties from dentists to surgeons can practice procedures safely and repeatedly, gaining the expertise and confidence necessary to move on to real patients when they are safe to do so.

We have very strong ties with some of the top ranked universities in the world and our advisory board boast internationally recognized experts in technology, education and surgery.

Building on a 10 year pedigree developing training simulators for specific projects and clients we are now working to bring out a universal clinical training platform called SimuTouch and the first set of modules for it.

We’re really excited about what the future holds for SimuTouch but we are always looking for new projects and ideas to apply our technologies to, if you have a need for solutions in haptics, Virtual Reality, simulated skills training or robotics please get in touch by calling the office number or emailing us.

We've just had the photos through from our trip to Medtec in April - we're delighted to see our injection simulator has made it into the professional collection! Thanks to the Medtec staff for making us one of the chosen few, we had a brilliant time and you never know, perhaps we can exhibit again next year

We're now on our way home from exhibiting and presenting at Medtec in Stuttgart. Thank you, Germany, for hosting us so beautifully, to all the event staff and everyone that came by our stand to engage and try our product, Simutouch. Do keep a look out for our other events coming up this year including VR World, IADR and ADEE in Oslo!

We have been featured on the The Queen Elizabeth Prize for Engineering's website with a blog about bringing the sense of touch to simulation training for clinicians learning hands-on, practical based skills across dental, medical and surgical fields. Old methods are slowly being phased out for multiple reasons, computer based simulation training is on the rise and we are at the forefront championing it all the way! Read more here:
