received my first delivery today well packaged and brilliant quality lots to choose from I had a german mother and she baked some incredible dishes the german bakery comes a close second to her baking you always prefer your mothers cooking I will definitely order again we received our order the following day to the north east uk tyne wear

We were so impressed with the service - and the wonderful pretzels - we got from this Deli for our German Beer Festival. 110 pretzels baked and delivered with less than 24 hours notice and delivered to us in the Midlands overnight. Fantastic. Thank you.

We loved having TGB visit our school! Friendly service and a massive range of quality products - a fantastic treat for pupils and teachers alike! Cannot thank you enough for fitting us into your busy schedule, you're a real credit to the home counties community! Bis zum nächsten Mal :).

We had bread rolls and a number of other items delivered after searching all over the Internet. The items delivered were of exceptional quality and everyone in the family agreed that the products offered excellent value for money. I will definitely be purchasing from here again and highly recommend it for anyone who loves German and European products.

Thank you for the fantastic parcel of food and written note you delivered to my 91 year old nan who originally came from Germany. It made her very happy. Plus we've been struggling to find teewurst for a long time, so now we know where to come we will definitely be ordering more! Many thanks again Sarah

I was born in Philly but raised in south Jersey so I've eaten soft pretzels for decades. Living in England for 41 years I've missed them. Thankfully the owner of the Bakery was interviewed before the Royal Wedding. I made a note of the store and placed an order last week. I ordered on Wednesday and I was in pretzel heaven on Thursday. I'm going to be a regular customer. I've spread the word to my fellow American expats living here.

I relocated from Germany/Bavaria 6 years ago, how have I missed my pretzels, Bauernbrot, Obazda, Landjäger & co. You guys have just saved me!!!!! I'm in Northamptonshire and have ordered the stuff for delivery, wow! Everything was carefully and lovingly packed! The stuff is super fresh!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you, I'm so delighted (so is my English husband)!!!!! Will order again and again and hopefully pop in one day.

I just found you by chance through Google and I nearly cried... FINALLY I can get my favourite food over here in the UK! Meine katjes Lakritze und salos.. meine milchschnitte, Kräuter Quark UND Brot und kuchen!!!! I will be making a big order very shortly and can't wait! ����

Great variety of german products, especially the bread and buns, lovely service.

Every time I pop in the staff are very welcoming and eager for you to try new products. The main thing I go for is the bread as the smell and taste reminds me of when I was young.

As i am having an Oktoberfest themed birthday party this weekend, we knew there were certain things we just couldn't go without and authentic german pretzels was one. i found the german bakery online, as i don't live in or near windsor i called to check its possible to deliver to me which is was. the person i spoke to was very helpful and later that day i placed my order. the pretzels arrived within a couple of days and look amazing! i'm sure they are going to taste as good as they look and will be a great addition to my party.

Absolutely fabulous bread! And I mean proper rye bread. And the quark taschen are so delicious! I get my supply every week when the German baker van comes to Reading and stops for 20 minutes.

I have never been to your shop could you please tell me do you do any gluten free thank you

I am German and was looking for some german products, especially bread. When we got there (saturday lunchtime) we were a bit disappointed. They just relocated to Reading and the shop is tiny (we think they are mainly focused on deliveries). There was no bread ready even after we had been waitng there for about 20-25 minutes (the shop assistant told us it would be ready in 10 minutes). The shop keepers were attentive at times but then mostly busy having a chat with each other. Also they spoke spanish - I would expect them to speak German actually (maybe that is too much to ask for as we are in UK and not Germany - but it was a bit weird still). Altgether I am glad there is a place with German food (especially snacks and sweets) but I think there need to be some improvements (I would expect saturday to be one of the busiest days - so after a short wait you should be able to get some bread).

They use Aceton to earase expired dates on the Food and than they just print a new date on it,just imagine when you get a Mettwurst wich is a couple weeks expired! they rebake the unsold Bread from the Day before also the Flour is stored in a Basement with a leaking Drain from Toilettes, They have lots of Mouses and Ants in the Bakery, it is suprising that the Trading Standards have not closed the permisses, dont go there it is extremly dangerous to eat anything from this Place

So my dad and I have just spent the last few minutes in shock about how bad your customer service is! I can honestly say I've never read an email like it! My dad simply sent you a polite email to point a delivery mistake you have made and what he received in response is no way to treat your customers! I am pasting the email thread below and would love to see you justify this response!! FYI he did not ask for the order to be delivered to 2 separate addresses, you should deal with your orders more carefully!

The first delivery was made to the correct address as shown below, but the second delivery has been made to the billing address.



This is a little bit inconvenient as the two addresses are some 560 miles apart ....



I would appreciate your thoughts on how this can be rectified.
