Our fabulous celebrant partner, Jenny Knight from Knight Ceremonies, will be hosting another day of appointments where couples can meet with her, and walk and talk through the plans for their day! She has been running these for the past couple of seasons and they are a great way to visualise what will happen during the build-up, and indeed during the ceremony, and to discuss the key elements of your day.

LAST MINUTE WEDDING CRISIS? LOOKING FOR AN ABSOLUTE BARGAIN? As a trial, we are offering Gildings Barns on a very limited number of weekday dates (Monday to Thursday) between now and the end of 2018 at just £500. Some Friday and Saturday dates also available at just £800. This is to hire the venue for both the legal wedding ceremony and the wedding breakfast, with full use of all the grounds and facilities until about 7 or 8 pm when you can go on to your evening entertainment elsewhere, perhaps a local night club. Contract separately with one of our fabulous caterers, or self-cater if you prefer. You can have prior day set up, and leave cars on site over night if you wish. Directions - from Surrey Oaks pub in Newdigate (with this on your left hand side when you are facing Charlwood direction) head towards Charlwood on Parkgate Road, which quickly turns into Partridge Lane. Shortly after the pub, pass a left hand turning to Brockham/Leigh, then in less than half a mile pass another left turning to Charlwood and Horley. Continue on Partridge Lane, passing Coombers Farm on the left, then Oak Lane Farm. Slow down for a sharp right hand bend, then pass the entrance to Sturtwood Farm on the left. Continue on Partridge lane, over a small bridge, then pass a sign post on the right, 'Beambrook Field Station'. Keep going, you are nearly there. Look out for the next farm on the right, 'Holly Farm', and almost opposite on the left is the entrance to Gildings Farm. You'll see a vintage horse drawn plough fixed to a log at the end of the drive. If you reach Burnt Oak Lane on the right you've gone 20 meters too far.
From the Surrey Oaks pub, Gildings is approximately 1.7 miles on the same road.

It was a very exciting day today at Gildings - we had an onsite meeting with the local council's licensing officers and have been advised we can have a wedding license for Gildings! This means we will very shortly be licensed for civil marriage ceremonies. 😊

Apologies for our website currently being down. We have been so overloaded with requests for next year, it seemed fairer not to raise hopes. A few people are still contacting us via other means and we are better able to deal with this smaller number. 2018 is sold out, but we still have a few dates for 2019.

Richard and I have just been treated to the most amazing lunch with Mark Illman, Director of the fantastic Anise Catering. From time-to-time we like to test for ourselves the quality of catering provided by our catering partners, and can honestly say that the cuisine produced by the talented chef at Anise Catering is outstanding....and as evidenced in the photos, beautifully presented as well. We can still taste it!

Thank you, thank you, for making the journey and our wedding day so special. Your barn was the only venue we needed to see and it created the most amazing day for us. Hilary was outstanding in her communication with us, helpful advice and putting herself out to help us plan the day and nothing seemed too much trouble. You were both fantastic f...rom start to finish. Allowing us to get married this year despite being fully booked. Your enthusiasm, Penny, whenever I asked a question was always such a lovely response and you seemed to genuinely care that we had the best day possible. We were very impressed with Lee and would recommend him and his team 100%. So professional and helpful to our guests and the food was amazing! Just wish we could do it all again!
