This week the Community Spot is taken by a member of the Junior Sewing Bee. The Junior Sewing Bee Girls all decided to give themselves fun aliases each of their Community Spots. So this is by Matilda Pend. Matilda is a very clever girl with the most beautiful smile. This is 'Matilda' in her own words.

On Monday, three of the Junior Sewing Bee had been sitting their year six SATs (exams) earlier in the day. They were worn out. So we cracked open the jammy dodgers and got on with a bit of sewing.

Another piece from a workshop at the Quilters Guild AGM last weekend. This piece is a mixture of fabric, felt, ribbon and stitches. It was good fun and I could see me doing it again but I think the idea could be developed and used as pouch or bag fronts 🤔

Bag making... Have you ever had a go at more than a 10 minute tote? If not, then it’s definitely worth having a go.
I love making bags. It is a smaller project. After you’ve cut and fused all the bits, the sewing is manageable and the bag comes together quite quickly.
Three ladies in the GillyMac Breakfast Club Sewing Group are making the Swoon Belle Bag. It is created as a nappy bag, but would be equally as great as a craft companion bag. 🧳👜🎒
