Glazed And Confused Cakes

Been a bit lax with the postings so here are some recent bakes

A very tall chocolate and caramel layer cake for the lovely Sonya's birthday. Piled high with chocolate sponge, caramel mud cake, chocolate caramel ganache, chocolate and salted caramel Swiss meringue buttercream, two layers of hazelnut meringue and a chocolate hazelnut cookie layer to boot!

What a way to start the day. First dough overproved so I had to make a 6am supermarket dash but these Eton mess vanilla glazed doughnuts are finally ready to hit Eat17 this morn (and I'm having doughnut holes for breakfast)

Some more delights winging their way to Eat17 Whitstable tomorrow. Roasted peaches on a cardamon cheesecake with pistachio praline and ginger base, lemon meringue cupcakes, peanut butter Choc chip cookies and some Eton mess doughnuts which I'll be whipping up early tomorrow X

Been a busy bee and got some really exciting stuff coming up soon. Here are a few recent projects. Loved making the my little pony figures and rapunzel OF COURSE!!

Ice cream melt cake. Vanilla sprinkle cake with raspberry cheesecake filling, chocolate frosting , Swiss meringue bittercream and a chocolate ganache drip.

Lemon sponge, home made lemon curd, mascarpone filling, lemon Swiss meringue buttercream, iced sugar cookies and rose flavoured meringue kisses. Cute!

Gold specs on a hazelnut and chocolate cake for my lovely hubby on his 35th bday.

This lady's baking skills are on another level (think Great British Bakeoff)!!

She made my daughter's birthday cake that was beyond my expectations; the details were exquisite and the flavours, out of this world! There were many 'ooooos and ahhhhs and wows' when the cake came out at her party and she was delighted with it. Thank you so much Charlotte for making her day perfect!

The most amazing Birthday cake!!! The only problem is I'm spoilt now and others will just never taste or look as good! I've almost started looking forward to getting older.....only 223 days to go......

Just amazing. Creative, aesthetically striking, delicious flavours combined with morish textures. By far the best cakes Ive ever seen or eaten.

I was let down with a cake for my daughters 11th birthday but glazed and confused came to my rescue and boy what an amazing cake, we were so impressed with the presentation of the cake, it tasted just as good. Thank you so much for your help we are very grateful.

I want to say a huge 'thank you' to Charlotte at Glazed and Confused who has created a series of extraordinary cakes that have been memorable centrepieces of our family celebrations over the last three years. We have had a cheeky and delightful Room on the Broom inspired cake, a dynamic and intricate mermaid cake, a gravity-defying magic potion cake (a show stopper that had people stopping me in the street to ask me about!) and most recently a sophisticated and beautifully detailed pansy cake. All of them have been delicious, with quality ingredients and interesting flavour combinations that add extra surprise and make them extremely moreish! Charlotte is extremely professional and reliable, very accommodating of special requests and most of all so creative - give her the germ of an idea and she turns it into a work of art in cake form. I cannot recommend her highly enough! We are already looking forward to our next birthday celebration..!

I have been lucky enough to have encountered many of charlottes cakes and puddings over the last few years. She is soo passionate about everything tasting as good as it looks! I couldn't recommend her highly enough for cakes and puddings for any occasion. She really is talented and a real Whitstable gem!

Charlotte went above and beyond to create a highly bespoke design for our cake and it was delicious to boot.

Charlotte took on the challenging task of making a Nexo Knight Fortrex Cake for our son's 6th Birthday. Special attention to detail was given to the knights; creating his particular favourites. It brought a huge smile to his face, and was a hit with kids and parents alike!

Charlotte made a selection of mini deserts for our wedding and they were simply gorgeous in every way. We still get comments 2 years later. She put so much attention to detail into them. Thankyou so much Charlotte!

Charlotte made a cake for my son's 17th birthday which is still talked about and I think has ruined us for eating any other cake since! It was spectacular and made my son very happy! Charlotte was utterly lovely, professional, communicative and we were delighted. Would use her every week just to celebrate Friday's if we could. Amazing talent, delicious cake. x

Charlotte made a cake for my daughter's 5th birthday. It was fantastic. Really delicious and my daughter loved it. I'm a dedicated fan of Charlottes cakes and sweet treats. Her inventiveness and attention to detail is a killer combination and I would highly recommend her.

Charlotte is a cake genius. Best tasting cakes i have ever eaten. Not to mention their physical beauty and artistry. Love the buisness name too...

Charlotte has made us two birthday cakes in total; one for my husbands 40th and another for our daughter. Both cakes were absolutely incredible in how they looked and tasted!
