'GMJ Flat Pack furniture assembly' is a Harpenden-based duo run by Greg Benson and Joe Smith. Between us we have assembled over 180 flat pack items!

RATES (includes 2 people)

£20 for the 1st hour (1 hour min. )
£7. 50 for each additional half hour.

Simple 2 door wardrobe (below 2 metres in height) 45 minutes
Chest of Drawers (standard) 60 minutes
Double or King size Bed (standard) 50 minutes
Bedside Cabinet with 2 Drawers 20 minutes
Basic Bunk Bed 90 minutes
Standard Nursery Cot 60 minutes
Simple Dining Table 30 minutes
Dining Chair 15 minutes


Extra time will be added to carry items to assembly location.

Extra time will be added to clear an area to assemble your flat pack items.

For larger items, please give room specifications.

Assembly does not include any permanent fixings to the wall, floor or ceiling.

Any additional work required for uneven floors or wall surfaces which may require the use of packing pieces in order to get the furniture level may incur additional charges.

We may at our discretion do whatever we reasonably can to assist in moving existing home furnishings within the customer’s property, in order to improve clearance and access providing neither us nor any employee of our company shall not be responsible for any loss or damage arising in those circumstances.

As a local business, it is very unlikely that we would be delayed reaching your location. However, we cannot guarantee this, and will keep you informed should any issue arise.

Please specify parking facilities at your home /premises prior to your appointment. Any parking fees incurred on your assembly appointment will be added to the cost of your assembly.

We reserve the right to charge a 1 hour call out if your booking is cancelled within 24 hours.

All our quotations are valid for 3 months.
