With National #FitnessDay just one week away, we've been thinking about what fitness means to us. 💪
For Kate it's headspace and me-time. She said: "It's about carving some time for myself - time away from the stresses of work, kids and life in general! It gives me the space to think, or not to, if that's what I need! Fitness is essential for my mental health." #fitness2me

Used to be a member a year or so ago and left because i felt like i had slightly outgrown the facilities provided.. Now ive come back with my tail between my legs, the refurb is amazing!!!!

User

Myself and my husband use the gym regularly 4-5 times a week, we've been members for about 18 months now.

The staff at reception are always courteous and polite.

The gym staff are always on hand to support and advise.

My only moan and groan is, there's not really enough equipment in the gym, it could be better laid out and better use of the space.

User

My three children did the week intensive swimming course. It was well organised and my 3 children loved being in the water and came on leaps and bounds. Lorraine was fab with them. The reception staff where all polite and helpful during the week. Thank you so much

User

Just had a legs bums and tums class and thought I'd review it straight away. I hurt so much!!! Absolutely brilliant! Highly recommend it. It was my first class here and it won't be my last! Can't remember the instructors name... she does the step class aswell

User

I have been a member of the Leisure Centre for over two years now and I think it is excellent!! I have had amazing results! I love the classes and the staff is very friendly. The instructors are great at keeping you motivated and push you to work hard. I look forward to being a member for a long time to come.

User

I absolutely love It! Ellie has proper motivated myself and my friend into coming and doing her classes each week! And we love It! She's brilliant.. she is a credit to the center! well done Ellie!

User

Great circuits session with Steve tonight! There every week and he always manages to mix it up. Brilliant at tailoring the exercises to its suitable for all abilities too, would always recommend his classes or if you’re looking for a PT session.

User

Enjoy using the swimming pool weekly, can usually find a time that will suit me and is generally quiet due to the times I go. Sauna and steam room are also good. I also use the badminton court with my partner and we enjoy playing there too x

User

Amazing endurance cycling class with Steve tonight, pushed me to my limit. Thank you.

Fab staff, always willing to help you achieve your goals

User

Am using the gym whilst classes are suspended over Christmas, I suffer from anxiety but am happy to do my thing in the gym. Always clean and tidy and a welcoming face at reception and great instructors. Love my classes and love the gym now too.

User

I only go for a swim and sauna which I enjoy and if I had to say something it would be that the showers really need a descaling

User

Everything is fantastic, except the cold, slow running showers. Kind of defeats the object of a de-stressing swim.

Apart from that, great helpful staff and a friendly atmosphere.

Yet another complaint

Our son has been attending Trampolining since its started four and half years ago.

The last 2 weeks sessions have been an utter joke.

Last week there were 10 children this week 9.

My wife timed how long our son was on the trampoline not even 6 mins WHAT A JOKE

The cost of lessons are astronomical equating to more than £1 per minute on equipment.

1. We would like a refund for the last 2 weeks

2. There should be a limit to 6 children per class as it was when it first started.

You did the same to the swimming lessons piling 12 to a tiny lane which was stupid

You seem more interested in money grabbing rather than the quality of coaching for children's sports.

I am afraid Places for people are failing people

The gym upgrade is a joke with not enough CV equipment and all we ever see is more people joining

User

I went to find out if they had a pool timetable today, they don't, I was told, to save the planet its all online. Except you can't view a week at a time and according to their site on 8th of June they have a holiday fun club! When you click on it, it says, 'on Wednesday 31st May.. ' firstly 8th June us a Thursday. 2ndly it isn't half term anymore by then and 3rdly I don't have time to trawl through every day to find a suitable session at a time to suit me, especially if the timetable is wrong. I'm going to Fareham pool!

User

Disgusted at the new Timetable for your swimming pool. After increasing your prices for family membership you have now reduced the access to it! Closing the pool for the day from 3pm on Saturdays for your inflatable sessions which is not available to full paying member unless they wish to pay an additional £5.95 per child on top of the £72 we already pay. Not even having a lane sectioned off for swimmers! After this, and the fact you also reduced the time of the sauna and steam room, leaves me questioning if it's worth bothering with membership anymore? Unless you at least reduce the fee in line with reducing availability. Unimpressed!

User

Compared to other gyms I have been to this gym is not great. The staff in the gym never seem to be on top of simple things like topping up the blue roll to wipe down equipment. There's no spray to use

To clean the equipment after sweating all over it. Every other gym I have been to seems to have this. To leave I have been told that I can't do it over the phone I have to hand a letter in stating I want to leave. Equipment is always hard to get on as there isn't enough of it for the demand. Not a great gym

User

There needs to be more changing facilities for people who have disabilities. Not only children but adults too.

User

Staff are rude and childish

Unhappy I was in the swim changing room a cupal of weeks ago two members of staff tip water over me while I was changing and laughed they was at the other side of my changeing room I was it, the girl was tall with long blonde hair in a high pony tail the guy was a little sorter the her he had really short hair light brown wearing girl was wearing yellow t shirt and guy wearing a black hoddie they was moping the floors and I told the duty manager when telling them he laughed when I said and telling them was not happy please don't take money from my bank this month on the 1.08.15 at all the lady with glass dark hair doing AQ class in the pool was every rude as I couldn't keep up I am sorry but dont take any more money from my bank I live two mintues away I am not coming back

Any thanks

Instructors are amazing but generally poorly run. I have never received a response to an issue I have raised. Management clearly not bothered by what their customers think. The impression I get is that the centre is geared to make as much money out of you as possible with minimal flexibility. Charging for gym inductions ect.
