Gunman Airsoft - Eversley Description
The Conquest Forest. Eversley
The beautiful and purpose developed forest boasts a 65 acre plot, surrounded by Bramshill Forest 2000 + acres. The site is of mixed terrain supported by a silver birch, pine and rhododendron forestry. This Old Quarry has come alive with abundance of hills and a sweeping valley that passes though its heights. There are many small and medium structures dotted around the site for wood stores that are usable.
Eversley has no amenities we don't bring on with us, we have in the main Car-Park porta loos, a generator for power, there are also water butts for cooking and washing (Located at the main entrance @ welsh drive), it would be advised to bring water carriers of your own.
You MUST bring your own drinking water with you.
There are two large bins on site at the entrance of the car-park and a number of large plastic ones dotted around for rubbish collection.

The Welsh Drive, Eversley, Hampshire, RG27 0QB (this postcode doesn’t bring you directly to the site. We are on google maps under Gunman Airsoft Eversley, The Welsh Drive however)
Directions to Eversley
From the M4:
Leave the M4 at Junction 11 (Reading Central) and take the A33 Dual Carriageway Southbound towards Basingstoke.
Continue for 4 Miles when you will come to a roundabout, turn left onto the B3349 towards Hook and Bramshill, continue for ¾ mile to next roundabout and turn right, still on B3349 with the Police College sign posted, you will pass Wellington County Park entrance and a Heckfield village sign, at next roundabout turn left onto B3011 following the Police College sign, ½ mile later bare left following the Police College (Heavy Vehicles) sign, continue for 3. 0 miles, passing the Bramshill village sign and the Hatch Gate public house, turn right at the end of the road (A327) turn left and them loop around the roundabout back the way you came, sign posted for the M3, Aldershot and Farnbough follow this road for 1½ miles. You will pass Eversley storage services on the right and JDB Garden fencing on the left you will then see on your right the entrance to the CEMEX Quarry, Eversley Recycling and Collards. The site is a mile down an ash and gravel road, try to avoid arriving in sports cars and motorbikes.
Camping:
The site boasts many sheds and Log stores that can be used for sleeping in as well as a number of great areas for camping with tents. The ground is very firm, so metal pegs may be a better choice over traditional wooden ones.
Car Parking
There is plenty of Parking on site for 100 people, please ensure when you arrive though to make space for other attendees
Closest Supermarket
There is a Tesco, Lidl and Aldi along the way from site in Camberley. 5 mins drive.
Open Fires.
We allow open fires as long as they are off the ground with slabs underneath them and in a fire pit designed to be one. You MUST have a bucket of water nearby, the fire MUST NOT be left unattended when lit and no tents are within 8ft for the fire. The forest ground is peat in many places and pine fall everywhere else.
The same care should be given to log burners, though these can be inside tents and left lit.
First Aid
We have a first aid kit for our events, but of your hiring the site, you MUST have your own. Insect repellent is advised during the summer months and we do get Ticks, wasps and Hornets at times. The terrain is very challenging in some places so you MUST wear appropriate footwear when out and about.
Mobile phone reception
O2 and Vodafone have reasonable reception, EE has very little but you can get a bar or two if you walk about.

The sharp eyed among you may have noticed that the date for the next FilmSim weekend at Eversley was given incorrectly in last week's newsletter.
This month's FilmSim open weekend at Eversley will be happening this weekend (13th &14th April) as published on the website and Facebook events pages.

OMG this months Filmsim is looking epics. REMEMBER the mid month in APRIL has moved off the Easter bank holiday and is running on the 13-14 April 2019 this year.

1. Goggles • Goggles must be worn at all times when outside of the safe zone. DO NOT TAKE THEM OFF DURING A GAME! • If your goggles fall off or are damaged, place your hands over your eyes and call CEASE FIRE, a Ref will come to your aid....

Summer Update:
The dreaded ferns are back for the summer! While they provide excellent concealment and super-sneaky gameplay, they do mean that we have to restrict the use of higher powered weapons for safety reasons.
As a result of this, the annual sniper ban is now in effect on the Eversley site for all open weekends. Until further notice, all weapons used at Eversley must be under the general 1.13J limit (that's 350fps with a 0.2g BB).
... We have nothing against snipers, but the height and density of the undergrowth means that the risk of accidentally shooting someone at very close range is too high to allow their use until the ferns have died back later in the year.
The ban only applies to our open weekends as we have a high concentration of less experienced players on these weekends as well as younger players toward whom we have an extra duty of care. We apply a blanket ban on these weekends to be fair to everyone and ensure ever players' welfare. The ban does not usually affect our FilmSim ticket only events and will be lifted later in the year when we deem it safe.

It's an amazing site with amazing people! Every time I go there it surprises me just how enthusiastic and fun everyone is.
I cannot get enough of Gunman Airsoft.
I've been to Gunman a handful of times, each time the games have been carefully planned and well executed, with engaging storylines a bit of humour too! Very good turnout of players on each occasion.
A cracking team of friendly, helpful and welcoming marshals.
Lots of structures found across a large and diverse map.
A well stocked shop.
Good quality hot food on site.
All of this at a price which is very fair.
No wasted time by way of repeat visits to safe zones.
Easy to follow storylines/game rules.
Top banter.
Yet to encounter any issues here, most of the players are regulars and play with good sportsmanship, the site operates a no nonsense approach and they are clear foul mouthed outbursts quite rightly will see you removed from site. 'We shoot with our guns, not our mouths'.
So if you are bored of your regular skirmish sites and want to take it to the next level, come here!
If you can, I would recommend doing a full weekend and pitch up a tent on the Friday as there is a great community feel to this site, everyone is very friendly.
