I take my twins here regulary and I did recently and they love it. People these days are so quick to moan about waiting a whole hour for their food but i mean seriously people! It would take alot longer probably to cook it at home and you dont have dishes or clearing up to worry about afterwards! The staff there work their butts off and are amazing and friendly! There is alot more going on in the world right now then friken complaining about a whole hour waiting for your food!! My 3 year old twins are more patient!!! We love the place, the food and the service

Went to celebrate my mums birthday, some had starters some didn't, but despite this all main meals came out together, food was lovely altho the kids chicken burger was rather dry, nothing was any trouble, sauces, more drinks, polite staff, efficient staff and when we wanted to split the bill, no trouble either! Will deffo be going back.

We've been here a few times staff are always friendly and helpful the food is lovely, had to ask if they had forgot our desert order but was not a problem would definitely use again

User

We live closer to another beefeater but the far better service here makes the extra 10min drive worthwhile

User

Very good steak and service - quite expensive for the average poor customer on state pension only!!

User

Nice food and good service. Unlimited refills on soft drinks selection and unlimited chips on most of the meals, bonus! Plus we had a 40% off voucher so happy days

User

It’s a Beefeater, the service is good and the staff are very pleasant. Shame they don’t have a few more bitters on tap.

User

Have been here a few times now, and it’s only been when I’ve had a voucher etc, as it is so expensive for what is essentially ‘pub grub’ it’s no better than a Wetherspoons.

Waited a while to be shown a table, which was disgustingly dirty, and also had a wait to have our order taken. The food, when it was finally bought out, was good, not amazing, but the poxy pot of ketchup which was bought over was a joke, not enough for 1 person let alone 2.

The staff were friendly enough, sometimes it all seemed too much effort for them, so slow considering there wasn’t that many people in there. Young lady with brown hair was really nice and chatty and seemed to be doing most of the work.

Overall not the best. A lot of other customers were left waiting. Wouldn’t dream of going in the evening, I don’t know how they would cope.

User

Went there for my 91st birthday didn't get the table we booked although this was weeks before. The service was disgraceful they said that they were short of staff, only one waitress. Waited ages for drinks and meals. To make matters worse when me and my friend went there for a meal several weeks before when we booked for my birthday and in got my credit card statement you charged me twice. So I had the expense of ringing my bank and then the Harbour lights twice to get a refund. Perhaps you would like to comment on this and contact me

We visited here on Sunday the 17th of December for a family Christmas meal. After booking a table 2 weeks in advance we arrived a little early expecting a to wait to our booked time, we were told it was going to be a further 20 minutes after our booking to wait for a table and that was if the people had finished their puddings which they had just ordered. So in the end we waiting half an our in the bar hearing various member of staff argue and saying 'they were going to walk out.' Nether the less we sat down and ordered some drinks , the next waitress came along and asked if we wanted to order and one of our party misheard and said oh sorry we've ordered our drinks , oh sorry food? I'll be quiet. The waitress gave the most filthy look to them and began to take another persons order. 25 minutes went past and no drinks , then another 10 so we asked where they were and they had lost our order but they'd bring it straight over. A little while later our drinks were brought out , then another 20 minutes later another round. The original drinks we had ordered where brought to our table. 55 minutes! It took nearly an hour to being our food out regardless of us being told there was a 15 minute wait but we weren't in any hurry as our Christmas meal. So the next waitress brought our food out and she was lovely! Definitely a credit compared to the other staff members (including a manager) I have to say breakfast when it's not so busy here is lovely!

User

Ok once the food arrived it was nice. However an hour's wait for food with hungry kids. We only ordered kids meals, sort it out! No warning on a long wait and the kids were climbing the walls by the end. No apologies from the staff either. Apparently we should have been told about the wait when we ordered.....won't rush back.

Had a friends 40th birthday meal as a surprise . It took us 20 mins and after asking 3 members of staff to show us to our table as we wanted to be sat away from the front door prior to our friend arriving !! Then we had to wait a further 30 odd minutes for a staff member to take our order !! And I had to chase her round to get her to our table " one minute plz" for the 10th time since we had arrived ! Then 1hr 25 min later our meal arrived !! And again after asking staff 3 times if our meal would be serving any time soon !! At no point did one member of staff come to our table and ask if we would like any drinks why we waited !! We had to go to the bar our selfs . And once at the bar 4 members of staff saw me waiting to order a drink and made no move to serve me !! The food it's self was very nice ! And just to finish our meal off , out plates were left in front of us empty for 20 mins and not one staff member came to clear or offer us any puddings or coffee ( not that we wanted any thing ,as it was now so late in the evening !) I did speak to the manager and we did get money off , but I did not get the feeling that he really cared , so awful for my friend ! But on the plus side there is a McDonald's next door where you get served your mcfurry very quickly and the staff gave my friend extra sprinkles on her ice cream for her birthday

User

Either initially badly cooked or left on a hot plate far too long, youngest ate one mouthful then refused the rest, the waitress knew it was bad didn’t acknowledge the fact but cancelled her own tip(which was unescessary) and we still got charged a whopping £69. No return trip planned

As soon as 5 meatballs turned up for £5.99 I knew I was being robbed! When there are 10 in your group it’s an expensive evening, when see the average meal is £15 and your still hungry, kinda makes you think they take the piss! Shame because the staff are excellent!

User

Waiting 50 mins with 3 children in the bar with menus, when originally told 30 mins, then go to ask how long it will be, he tries to give me menus!? i said no I have been here 50 mins, go straight to a table which has probably been available for ages, we were clearly forgotten, he then walks off. Don’t you think after that long we know what we want?! Safe to say after it hit an hour in total we walked out. Lesson learnt! Never again. Annoyed I paid as much as I did for my drinks!
