I went to the Hart Leisure Centre Easter open day today and it was fantastic. We did the Easter egg hunt and soft play and it was really well organised, the staff were exceptional and really went the extra mile to give the children a great experience and my 1 year old and 3 year old absolutely loved it. The added bonus was that today was free (and my children got to take home eggs and chocolate bunnies from the Easter egg hunt) but I would happily pay to take my children to a session like this if it ran again or became a regular occurrence.

Thank you Hart Leisure Centre, and especially Carly and Ella and the other lovely young lady who were there organising it, for a really fab morning and a lovely start to our Easter Sunday .

Great pools very clean. Reception staff very friendly and polite. Cafe is great and the cafe staff

User

Great centre with lots of activity's to offer. Pool is nice and warm and the changing rooms are clean. Reception staff are friendly and polite. The cafe food and coffee is great with good prices. The seating area in the cafe is peaceful meaning you can relax after a swim.

User

The centre is generally clean and functional. But where oh where are the bottle recycling bins? Please put some by the main pool and in reception. Let’s reduce plastic landfill together?

User

The only thing I have a problem with is the classes, they are always fall. I even checked an email within minutes it coming through and the place had already gone. Also I think It should state that when you go to a class you need to make sure your name is ticked off. I went to a body vie class and this was the first time the instructor had done this. The other 2 classes (I was lucky I got in)didn't do this and I was charge £4 each because it had look like I hadn't turned up for the class. I'm happy with the gym, even tho I think sometimes the instructors should be more visible so people know they can go to them for help. Cafe is good, nice and relaxed

User

My son has swimming lessons initially I was impressed with the cleanliness of the swimming pools and changing area, sadly not anymore, we move from Farnborough because we couldn't get a class that was a suitable time and was therefore prepared to swallow the £5 month increase. But now you have upped this to over £40 versus the £33 we pay at Farnborough for my other son who has a maximum of 6 in the entire pool. Hart have 3 classes of 8 kids at the same time. There is no suitable viewing for the teaching pool and the drop off collection point is just chaos. I'm not impressed. I think my son is progressing OK not that I can hear or see. On the positive I think my sons teacher is good and the standard of the pool is great but if you're going to charge £7 month more than Farnborough you need to be so much better

User

My son had swimming lessons for 5 months here as Hart was the only place with availability. The pool is far too crammed with 3 lessons being taught at the same time and on many occasions there was one swim teacher to a class of 8 with no assistance. On one occasion she didn't even get in the pool with the children, even though no one was assisting her. The drop off/collection point is chaos. Now joined Farnborough Fins and my son is doing so well with a better teacher to child ratio and smaller classes.

User

Your term time swimming timetable does not have sufficient timeslots for public swimming. Anyone with a normal 9-5 job will struggle to get in and swim before the clubs start at 6.30, and then the only available time for public swimming is from 8.30 onwards. Even then, some lanes are regularly taken by classes that are not included on the timetable, and sometimes you close the training pool even though the main pool is clearly too busy (and when you've stated on the timetable that it will be open) There seems to be very little consideration for those with monthly memberships who have 9-5 jobs. I feel like I would only get a decent swim if I were to join a class. I saw at least two complaints being made yesterday, and I complained- yet the training pool was still shut. It could have been used to ease the problem. Changes need to be made to the timetable, it should not just be classes that can benefit from the optimum evening slots (6.30-8.30) These time frames should be split evenly between classes and public swimming

User

I can't believe that the times for general swimming have got even worse!! 3 pools (2 excluding the baby pool) and I still can't get to swim after 18:30 unless it's a Wednesday or a Friday and on both of these days the swimming is in the smaller pool at the back meaning that more than a handful of people and you will all be kicking/hitting each other and getting in each others way! So disappointed. The center itself looks great and the gym is well equipped, however, if you're looking to swim after the gym and you work I would suggest looking elsewhere!

User

Gym is nice. Pool is nice. Main issues for me is no allocated floor space in the gym for floor work (its in and around other equipment on awful mats.

Plus loads of back office admin problems with my membership since day 1. Chaos

User

2 stars for service. Facilities are generally clean but this time the Family Changing room in the swimming pool had a pungent smell. On top, my little boy knelt in a puddle that smelt of sewage. I asked the staff whether they have spares but they didnt. Therefore, i asked for a discount on the swim shorts. Manager came and declined the discount saying that my son (3) should not be kneeling on the floor (in the family changing room that has a play pen??). Rather than blaming back, he could have gracefully apologised... Level of customer service from him is 0. However, the Reception was lovely and tried to help but just couldnt. Therefore, i give 2 stars.

User

What used to be a well-run and pleasant leisure centre is now an awful place to go.

For starters, a badminton court went from £10 a session to £14 a session. A 40% increase for what? I get that inflation and price increases happen, but 40% in one fell swoop!?

Then, as time progressed, this didn’t really matter anyway as the courts are never available because the centre book the hall out for parties all of the time.

Upon asking about this on this very page, I was spoken to like an idiot and as soon as I questioned why I was being called Steve, my comments began disappearing. Deleting comments when they’re already getting annoyed is not really a good way to deal with your customers.

All in all, I think it’s a massive shame as I have wasted a lot of money supporting a complete shambles of a company.

User

Went to the gym class they run for children every tues and thurs today - 31st May, my children normally love this and only get a chance to go in the term breaks but today was ruined by the instructor using the other side of the hall as apparently ‘the children were being to loud’ so she turned the music up for her class so loud nobody could hear a word, the parachute and nursery rhymes they do at the end was totally pointless as we all couldn’t hear a thing - real pathetic childish behaviour from that instructor. Reception were informed but management did nothing.

User

Unbelievable - I was given a £100 fine for staying 20 mins over the allotted limit which I wasn’t aware of. I was feeding my baby and drinking and eating in their coffee shop but got fined for the privilege. Will never go back.

User

Thank you every so much to the person who pranged my car in the car park tonight. Not! Don’t worry I will find you on the CCTV and then claim on your insurance. Or you could just have owned up and left your details. I was the red car parked in the second row about 10 cars up on the left and you were the silver/grey car that left between 6.20-7.40. Some people just have no morals!

User

Really poor as no swimming pool activities for the children this half term! Asked in reception as to why and no answer given ????

User

I have been a member of Hart Leisure Centre for many years. The new facilities are very good, but if we can't use them what's the point? I can only comment on certain activities.

Badminton: Great new hall. Flooring excellent, sound deadening fantastic. BUT... The hall is regularly hired out to Martial Arts and block booked by (non-member) groups. The "No Strings" group can block book a number of courts which just excludes access for customers. Whereas EveryoneActive can charge extra for this "group" activity.

Pool: I'm not a swimmer, but members of my family are. We now have two 25m pools... They look great. But my impression is that access to the pool for customers is reduced. Again clubs and organised activities for which there is an extra charge appear to take the lions share.

I read numerous other reviews commenting on limited access to classes.

So, I can't book a badminton court, my family have difficulty finding access to open swimming in the evening and others can't get access to the classes. And I would add that those classes are clearly spilling over into a hall designed for racquet (and other dedicated sports). Clearly the facilities are not adequate to meet the demand.

As a member I should be guaranteed reasonable access to the facilities. There is clearly no policy to protect this. The hall, pool, and other facilities can be block booked by all and sundry with total disregard to those of us who pay handsomely for membership.

User

Hopeless if you want to swim at a peak time during the week - Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Shut between 18.30 and 20.30. For people who don't finish work until later it's shut by the time you can get there and 20.30 a bit late to go out swimming. I can understand a partial closure for swimming lessons but the whole thing!!

User

Great facility but the staff just don't care. As long as they get your cash they're happy.

Also once your on their database they keep calling regardless of requests to be removed.

Great facility but the staff just don't care. As long as they get your cash they're happy.

Also once your on their database they keep calling regardless of requests to be removed.
