Went for am impromptu meal on a Saturday. Managed to get seated straight away. Service from our waitress was brilliant. Very happy with our food and time we waited. Only small fault was wholemeal rolls were very dry. I had belly of pork and hubby haf rib of beef. Both cooked beautifully and meat was so son. Son had a chicken dish which again was lovely. Definitely be back.

We were there this morning for breakfast . Couldn’t fault it . We have been going there for years , and will continue to do so . Thank you

We had breakfast good selection of continental breakfast juice & hot drinks. Our order was taken almost straight away. We were left enough time to eat our cereal. The cooked breakfast was hot & very tastey & great value at £4.98. Only down side the drinks were quite exspensive at £2.49. But otherwise would highly recommend.

On our 4th snow day cabin fever had well and kicked in. Thankfully we managed to get o the Harvester and our party of 5 adults and 10 children were looked after brilliantly by Colin! He took care of all the children brilliantly taking all their orders while we drank a truck load of prosecco - to keep warm. Thanks Colin you were our snow hero! �

I haven't been here for a few years and was pleased to see the service and food were all still very good! As it was my grandsons 9th birthday and he had asked to have a birthday meal at the harvester I was a little worried being New Year's Day that it would not be as good as I remember; how wrong was I! The food was exceptional and our waitress was so efficient despite there being 12 of us she was very helpful and accommodating, even bringing out his birthday cake having put wrestling figures on the cake and lighting up the candles! A lovely atmosphere, great food really well cooked and fantastic service! Well done I will certainly be recommending this harvester to everyone and will be returning here for meals in future!

I have been going to this Harvesters for over thirty years with my family, and even got engaged there fifteen years ago to my late fiancé! I go there with my husband and baby approximately once a month these days. The toilets flush much better than they used to, but it's a shame that the bowls and the bread rolls in the salad bar have shrunk! The waiters and waitresses are very friendly, although I find the manager Dave rather brusque. I love the emails with money off vouchers, they make the meals very good value! Tried the cookies and cream freak shake with a shot of baileys last night, and it was lovely! I normally have the Harvester 83 combo, and buy the bourbon sauce to take home - yum! It's one of our favourite restaurants!

Staff member on arrival was rude saying we didn’t book as many people as we did, (even though we phoned to add more people and this clearly wasn’t changed on their end, when said it was over the phone?) and the table took a while to get ready because of this. Food was nice and other staff members were friendly. Waiting times between each meal etc was a bit of a problem but overall nice evening.

New menu food was good staff looked very confused and very slow service.

Went recently at lunchtime, had to send fish back as it was all batter and very little fish.

Other food was hot but chicken and ribs were dry.

Gents toilets the extractor fan was clogged with dust and dirt.

Looking at the comments from the Harvester saying they will use the comments posted I hope they do to raise their standards.

Upon arrival my chair had to be cleaned before i could sit down. The tables were grubby leaving dirty marks on our clothes.

Our food took over an hour to get to us. I must say that the food was very nice for all and our waitress was outstanding as there were 16 of us.

The front of house guy was not very welcoming and was having a go at staff in front of customers waiting in the bar. Food was ok but nothing to write home about. The waitress was lovely, deserts looked good.

Ok, food not bad place has been updated since last visit but still in need of a bit of TLC - looking aged!!

Not overly impressed. Everything rush rush rush. Tables crowded together so no room to move asked for steak med/well done had to pick it up and tear the little shrunken piece of meat with my teeth. Salad bar could have done with a wipe down or a bit of tlc looked very unappealing.

I liked the food, the welcome was fairly rude, spent 3 hours here but the majority of this time we were waiting for food to be delivered. Other than this the staff were very friendly, but I picked up at least 4 dirty salad bowls before I found clean ones. Salad bar has shrunk in size but other than this I would go back there with hopes that the waiting times etc will improve.

Had to wait for somebody to appear and take us to a table. My seat was near a step up where a large party were seated so I kept being nudged. Menu has been changed again and was not that inspiring. Friend ordered chicken that was presented with a raw pepper, no corn and no watercress. No chopped onions on salad bar. Noticed that calorie values have been taken off menu. Was offered sweets or hot drinks when we complained. Had to complain twice before meal was written off

Took my family for a meal yesterday 2 of the waiting on staff having their own little chat for 5 mins about their own personal lives not bringing meals to customers that were waiting .The chef politely asked these 2 members of staff to take the meals to the customers in which then these 2 decided to give abuse to him they were swearing and sticking their fingers up at him . I was not happy as my children was watching this I hope the manager deals with these pair of children as that is the way they were acting all because they were asked to do their jobs and I hope the chef gets a big pat on the back for the way he dealt with them.

Sat at table waited 20 minutes for beer to arrive. Food was tepid steak was stringy. Ordered a sundae best dessert arrived in a tiny coffee glass, sent it back. Another 20 minutes trying to pay the bill. Dirty floors and broken tables.

Totally disappointing when you consider I have always had a good meal at the Harvester in Gravesend.

Poor service, long time awaiting for the food and then an hour for the deserts... had reservation and although restaurant was not full, had to wait 20 min for a table....

when serving food some of us where half way already when others just been served... shame as never had that in other restaurants, won’t be back
