Had a lovely meal with my Husband and two young sons. Had a lovely young lady serving us who was very understanding with our children which made the whole experience brilliant for my Husband and myself. All the food was lovely hot and good tasting. If ever over in Milton Keynes again would definitely go back.

Was left pretty underwealmed, not awful and not brilliant. Food was okay but was expensive for what it is. Waiting was around 25 mins and mains came in stages rather than all together service was ok biggest disappointment was the state of the restaurant l. Was around 5 tables in total sonny no means packed and the floor everywhere was littered with rubbish where we were sat had food and all sorts under the table just wasn't a inviting place to come to which was a shame as I've been many times and has been better than this latest visit.

Was at Loughton one. There was a sewage kind mell. The salad cart was not good.not much choice. Not even lettuce. The first thing my partner ordered they didn't have. Then when the food came mine was cold. His chicken was rubbery urgent child's veg was not cooked so was hard and also hers was cold. The staff was OK.But common sense wasn't there as gave a pint glass to my 2year old.I of ask for a plastic cup. But will not be eating there ever again. Was extremely disappointed.

Last time at this place. 1st problem was no refill drinks as the machine and the one behind the bar had no c02. Had to spend £3 each on bottled drink, a glass full. Lettice on the salad bat was brown at the edges. My daughters gammon was old and dry and had to be replaced. Next, a side order of potato skins were obviously deep fried leftovers..we returned them...no replacement requested as embarrassed to have to keep complaining. The place obviously has issues, probably due to lack of customers and staff.....so alternatives or compensation should have be offered at the time. We love Eastlake Harvester but this experiance has put us off even that for a while.

where do I begin. Sunday evening my partner and I decided to pull off the motorway for food and came across the harvester (Marlborough Gate) to be greeted by a member of staff who looked like she could not be bothered. She explains it will be 10 minutes before we could have a table although there were 60% of tables free within the restaurant. There were a few tables with plates piled high on them as if they had been moved to their rather than returning to the kitchen.

Finally, we were seated and ordered drinks and whilst one waiter (Jake) was clearly working as hard and as quick as he could we had to wait a while to order our food. As we waited a Manager (Katie) walked past and we asked if we could place the order with her, with a could not be bothered look and an unprofessional tone she advised “there’s a waiter working this area he will have to take your order”.

We then finally placed our order with the hard-working waiter and our food arrived. Less than a minute into the meal my partner pulled out the packaging label from beneath the chicken on the plate. We called over the manager (Katie) who took the plate from the table before we could take a photo of this issue. She walked away for 10 seconds and straight back to the table advising she had spoken to the kitchen staff (not possible at all in the time frame) and would take the meal from the bill. At this point with the atmosphere and shocking meal we had been given we requested to cancel our meal and leave. This was met with ‘Yeah Fine’ and away she walked. We were left to just get up and leave.

This has got to be the worst customer service experience we have ever had. Such a poor representative for your company with no attempt to rectify the situation truthfully or apology. I would avoid this restaurant at all costs in the future.

User

Worst customer service ever. Can hear the chefs having a joke with other staff members from across the room. I do not want to hear chefs saying they been "done up the ass" as a joke or not. You lot ran out of chicken .... like seriously how do you run out of chicken at 7pm?

Can hear the waitress getting flirty with the chef who was by the bar having a drink with 3 other people. Random zoo like noises from the kitchen. I literally could go on but it will be a waste of time. Paid full price for a meal that was cold and stale. Got a free dessert but the quality was so poor it shouldve been free anyways. If it wasnt for the company i had, i would be pissed off.

Where do I begin...we walked in, 4 adults and 4 children, to a miserable front of house and asked for a table of 8. We were told there were no tables of 8 available, would two tables of 4 be ok? We said that was fine rather than waiting. We were then seated and just behind us there was a table of 8 free. We asked the waitress if we could have that table instead, to be told “no that section of the restaurant is closed”. Sorry but when you go out as a group for dinner, if there’s tables in a restaurant free for that size group surely the restaurant would accommodate. Well not Harvester. We then ordered to be then told rotisserie chicken and onion rings were not available (this is at 7pm on a Sunday evening so surely basic things like those would be available). Re ordered and my friend ordered the same. When the food came out it was average at best. My friends gravy was in a gravy boat, mine was in a battered tin mug? Would it have not been possible to wash another gravy boat up? The corn on the cobs were so over boiled that non of us ate them, they also looked like they’d already been nibbled. My friends husband had the spicy ribs and they were dry rather than spicy. It was freezing in there so asked if the heating could be put on/ air con could be turned down. We were told the air con wasn’t on and the heatings on a timer and it should turn back on soon. It didn’t before we left. To be honest the whole experience was an absolute joke. The waitress that served us was friendly and apologetic but everyone else looked miserable. Just to add it’s a good job the salad bar was free with dinner as I definitely wouldn’t be paying for it, the bowls were dirty and the salad looked like it was the dregs from the lunchtime sitting all except the pineapple which was full.

User

Went today for my birthday. We had prebooked a table of ten for 12.15. Was sat and given the menus. Some of us ordered refill Pepsi. First glass came out dirty so waitress got me a second glass which had some kind of lipstick on it!!! Third time lucky for a glass. Bowels at the salad bar were dirty! Then the menu. My daughter wanted a pasta. Sorry no stock. We ordered an apple and orange juice. Then waitress came back sorry none in stock?? My mum ordered a veggie dish and was told the jacket potatoes would not be availbe untill 1pm. So she asked for sweet potato. Sorry sold out so tried it is. One burger we asked for without sauce in. Guess what it came with sauce in. After 20 mins of waiting they came back and told my mum that her veggie dish would have something else missing so she had to have a she new order. Then deserts ordered and the one my sister ordered was still frozen so they could not sell it. If i could give this 0 star I would. No sorrys from the staffgimme after timefor the lack of food or dirty glasses. I will never visit a harvester again and would strongly advise others to avoid as they have no hygine standards and the staff did not care about the bad experiance we had

User

Went for lunch - ordered classic burger - arrived with burger overcooked even sedated knife would cut it - sent back replacement arrived - these have to be the worst burgers ever tasted greasy with absolutely no flavour sent back offered something else - opted for plain chicken burger what could go wrong?? - arrived it might have been a plain chicken burger but tasted of nothing but water - give credit wasn't charged for any of the above , none which I really ate - I certainly will not be going into another harvester - bland tasteless frozen food

Turned up 10 mins ago and was greeted with a miserable lady in a black and white shirt. The restaurant is was practically empty. We have three children 6 & 8 and a baby of 19 months. We picked Harvester because there is salad quickly for the children. We were informed with a vile attitude that there was a 30 min wait to which I replied “the restaurant is basically empty” and was snapped back at with “yeah well half is closed today” my husband enquired about eating in the bar (which we do fairly often if it’s busy) she snapped again “no we don’t allow you to eat in the bar” my husband then said “oh usually we can” there was no response to this as she had already walked away....honestly we are not hard to please at all but I genuinely think if Harvester want to survive a competitive market they need to start considering customer satisfaction.

User

This was the 1st time we had taken our children to this particular harvester and will not be returning again. The food was disgusting. We asked for a plain cheese bacon burger and it still had lettuce in and had the chilli on top still, the kids mac cheese had more veg that was not fresh and simply tasted nasty. The peri peri chicken burger was hard and and tasted like cardboard.

My family and I have been feeling rather sick today. My youngest not being able to stomach anything until dinner time and the rest of us with horrible stomach cramps.

User

Should be a zero star. Only 2 staff and what I believe was a manager (couldn't tell as he was scruffy and had no badge) and none of them actually served us after being seated. Having 4 kids with us we were left for 25 minutes with not even asking us for drinks. We decided to inform staff we were leaving and she said she didn't know we were there. She sat us at the table! We found the manager who showed even less interest. He was busy closing half the restaurant tables, looked scruffy and wore no badge. 2nd time I have been here and both times it's been awful. On the way out we found it best to inform the people waiting for over 5 minutes it's best to not bother and go elsewhere. Cut your losses and close this place and use the money on the other harvesters in the town.

User

I would not rate this restaurant went with family food was a hour and half and came out cold once asked manager he was rude and did not want to give name and said if I don’t get out he will drag me out what company employs people to be rude to paying customers no amount of money would ever get me back into that harvester my experience was hell definitely do not recommend to others when staff are rude

User

I went with my parents and two kids at lunch today. The lady on the reception wasn’t welcoming at all and asked us to wait for 20 minutes to be seated while half of the restaurant was empty. Anyway we were seated after 20 mins and we ordered fish n chip with double chips and a drink. She said ‘is that it ?’ , I said yes. She then asked what about them? (pointing at my parents) , I answered that they have had their lunch. Then she again asked ‘anything for Kids ?’, I patiently answered that they will have the chips. Now what’s her problem if we ordered less or more ?

I think she was the only waiter / receptionist etc there and was very irritated . There was one man also who served us food.

We asked for the bill , she came with the receipt which had an additional charge of £3.99 for the salad . I asked her why because salad is free with one meal. She said ‘because all of you were eating that salad and you should be thankful that I only charged one’ . It was really humiliating and degrading for me. My family had already gone outside and I couldn’t argue her. But I asked her that it’s not written anywhere that i can’t share my salad with my kids ? She said it’s written that only one person eats it. Does she watches everyone in the restaurant that who is sharing eating what ? Or was it only us ? I filled the salad twice only , if I would have eaten it myself only , would she have charged for it as well ?

Really disgusted with this rude behaviour. Won’t recommend anyone to go there
