Took my 11 month daughter there yesterday for a daddy daughter date night. The place was busy and the young lady who served us was covering both the front desk seating guests and waiting on our table.

She was an absolute star throughout. She was so helpful with my daughter and went out of her way to help as she has some intolerances. She even suggested when we asked for her to have a cod that we could have it grilled instead of battered so it was healthier for her. The waitress even went off to order her food first to ensure she got fed quickly while I was then able to read my menu to make my choice. Her food came out quick and was perfectly cooked. She loved it. My ribs were also excellent. It was so nice to have a baby friendly member of staff who knew what we needed and was very helpful despite her obvious workload. Thoroughly commended.

User

The food and staff was great cause it was my husband birthday and they made it so special for us and very polite and happy so the place was full of laughter and happiness

User

Jane was serving us this evening singing, laughing and her general demour was lovely to see. Food arrived on time and was hot and well presented. Even offered to pick stuff out of our teeth with her nails. Recommended berries and cherries old mout and would recommend to all.

User

Jane was our waitress and she was the so lovely, helpful and attentive. Had a lovely evening out with some of my best friends. Thank you

User

Jane was anything but plain.... had a lovely meal with lovely staff. Lovely to sit outside

Had a lovely trip to harvester old Windsor tonight, we havent been for around 9 months as our last experience was awful. I'm glad to say the management changed in February and if tonight is anything to go by this harvester is on the up again. Food was 5 star everything we ordered came as it should of, salad bar was stocked and plenty of white & brown rolls. Our waitress Sammy was fantastic friendly and efficient. A massive thank you too the assistant manager James for his kindness to our 8 year old son who is autistic not that James assistant manager even noticed he was just a genuine guy making an 8 year old very happy!!! Thanks harvester old Windsor we will be back xx

Friendly staff and a good choice of meals. Nice large car park and just across the road from the River Thames.

User

A very pleasant experience at this Harvester. You know what to expect from a Harvester restaurant and this one was lovely. We both chose the gammon from the early bird menu and it was lovely. Very succulent. The chips were piping hot as we're the garden peas. The salad from the salad bar was delicious as were the bread rolls. We shared a desert which was delicious too. All served by a very pleasant young waitress. The views out of the window of the river Thames just added to the lovely lunch time meal.

User

Total experience was poor. Salad looked like it had been swept off the floor. Waited an hour for glass of water. Meal was average. Best things were hot bread rolls.

User

Lovely setting but found the staff not very helpful, the gentleman that served us wasn't very polite, we sat outside and when served our food we asked for tomato sauce to which the reply was, it's inside go help yourself, it just seemed there was no customer service from the staff. Have to add the food arrived quickly and was good.

User

First day of the new menu we were told. So they did not have any sour cream to go with the jacket potato! Also no ginger beer - discontinued I asked? no didn’t come on the delivery was the answer. Was OK but could be a lot better.

User

Busy bank holiday,no bread rolls available for a long time.Salad cart very messy & run out of bowl, when they did restock to bowls they was hot.Chessy garlic bread was under cooked so the cheese didnt melt properly & had unlisted herbs on,Meals not as hot as usual. We love Harvester normally, but this was disappointing.

User

A nice experience, all our meals were great only minor thing I’d say is lacking in choice of soft drinks as what I asked for they had run out and not much else to choose from, we were asked to wait half an hour for table but only waited about 20 minutes

User

When you have a trainee working on a busy evening shift, perhaps the manager could tear himself away from his empty front desk to actually train her when the bar is 2 deep in customers.... how utterly demotivating for her on her first day to be left in the proverbial when the manager is standing there pretending to be organised and busy!! Don't worry though I asked him to help out, I also asked him to fetch cutlery and get the salad bar filled!! Perhaps if the manager actually led and managed you wouldn't have so many complaints!! Lack of staff and leadership is what is wrong in his branch and has always been the case in the 10 years I have lived in Old Windsor!!

User

The waitress was pleasant but the restaurant itself was not very clean.

We returned 4 out of 6 glasses as they were dirty. The cutlery had dried on food on it too.

The food came in drubs and drabs and at varying temperatures.

The food seems to be of poor quality; steamed veg was frozen veg that was bland and watery, the children's mash was rubbery and obviously not from fresh potato and the simplest thing- sliced raw onion- from the salad bar was watery and still partly frozen.

After a bill of £113, I would not expect frozen food to be passed off as restaurant quality.

User

The worst experience I've ever had in a Harvester. The floors were dirty from food which had been dropped. The lettuce in the salad bar wasn't even cut or shredded just as whole leaves. The refill drinks station looked extremely grubby and was very sticky. The toilets were in a complete state water all over the floor and just generally dirty. The service was painfully slow I appreciate that it was busy but 2hrs and a half for just a main meal ( the food was of a very bad quality too) for 2 adults and 2 young children and 2 puddings to share is a bit of joke! The staff which again I understand were under pressure, could of had a smile and at least applogised for the delays but sadly didn't even offer a smile. My family and I won't be going back.

User

Please can a member of management contact me. Diabolical service and very dirty. Not impressed at all. Our food sat under the lights for nearly 20 minutes whilst staff stood chatting. I had to go to the bar to get drinks as the waitress disappeared and only came back to eventually plonk food on the table, the fish and chips does not come with tar tar sauce. I even had to try and find somebody to pay the bill reluctantly. Skipped getting any pudding as we would have been waiting so long. I look forward to hearing from management and not just a comment saying “we are sorry you didn’t enjoy your evening”

User

I won't be going back to this harvester. First of all when the waiter repeated our order back to us he kept getting it wrong, after the 4th time confirming it back to us he still bought the wrong starters out. We ordered chicken strips for my 4 year old only to be given a chicken steak which we had to return. My son had mash potatoe which looked likes it had been re heated about 5 times. The top was really crusty, when we asked to change it we were told it comes like that as it's bought in and not made fresh. I ordered a steak medium rare and was given a well done one. The replacement steak was very chewy and fatty. The only saving grace was we were given our deserts free but that still didn't make up for the very poor meal.

User

Had the worst meal ever last night slow cooked tender Jamaican rib turned out as a dried up piece of shoe leather with a painted glaze, duck wings overcooked & dried out. Granddaughter's burger done to a crisp. Grandsons fish only edible at the ends, middle had a very odd texture and taste. Daughters chicken dry and tasteless. Seriously think it was all pre cooked, re heated and left standing. The free key lime pie was the only edible part of the meal! Didn't want to spoil my daughters only night off so complaint going in later. Have often used this Harvester for family meals in the past no idea what's gone wrong.
