Hellas is the Greek name for Greece a country that is also known for its tasty and healthy food as well as its eating customs and habits. We at Hellenic Grocery bring to you the finest ingredients for your cooking straight from Greece, so your health and taste buds can fully benefit by them.

We aim to bring you as close as possible to the complete Greek experience, both for the Greek people in UK that want to be able to cook authentic meals and those who just want to remind themselves of that holiday in Greece. Greek cooking traditions date back thousands of years. Greeks today eat some of the same dishes their ancestors did in ancient times. These include dolmades (stuffed grape leaves) and many of the same fruits, vegetables, and grain products. A Greek, Archestratus, is thought to have written the first cookbook in 350 B. C.
The word Hellenic means anything which is characteristic of the cultures of the ancient Greek and Roman civilisations. It relates to or is characteristic of the classical civilisation of ancient Greece. Hellenic is also another word for the Greek language.

The items I ordered arrived on time in good condition. Unfortunately the so called cheese and spinach pie in fact only contained cheese in spite of the label stating that the ingredients ingredients contained mountain greens. A Great Disappointment.
PS. Hellenic Grocery responded immediately expressing their regret but saying that they are experiencing an increased volume of orders at the moment and will rectify the error.
Incidentally, the pie was as tasty as any I have had in Greece so it is not surprising that demand is so great.
Received our order, perfectly packaged and chilled to our door! True, authentic products with great service. Thanks so much
Put the order in on Tuesday, arrived Thursday morning. Chilled item packed in an insulated box, and still cool. Can't fault the service, will definitely order from them again οΏ½
Products arrived in less than 24hours in great condition and still frozen, amazing service.
Popped down to get some authentic Greek products and was not disappointed. The two staff members were so helpful, knowledgable and friendly. A big selection to choose from and first class service, will be back soon!

Arrived this morning, next day with a standard delivery.
All packed up in a polystyrene cool box with ice inside a cardboard box, wow can't beat that .
We will be a regular customer in between our visits to Crete.
