Henley Literary Festival Description
Henley Literary Festival is established as one of the UK’s biggest book festivals. The 2017 Festival took place between October 2-8 at venues across Henley-on-Thames, with over 150 talks, Q& As, workshops and performances for adults and children. The line-up featured bestselling novelists Paula Hawkins, Roddy Doyle, Katie Fforde, Michael Morpurgo and Joanne Harris alongside speakers from politics, entertainment, sport and more – including Russell Brand, Mary Berry, Phil Tufnell and Chris Patten. Family events included Alison Steadman and Radio 1’s Greg James with their first children’s books, award-winning authors and illustrators Rob Biddulph, Steve Antony and Clare Balding.
The 2018 festival runs from 29th September to 7th October and we'll start announcing our line-up in the Spring – watch this space!

Last week we were lucky enough to snag a ticket for Grief is the Thing with Feathers at the @barbicancentre. Based on Max Porter's novella, and adapted by the utterly brilliant Enda Walsh, the play was arresting, funny, bizarre, challenging, loud (really loud) and one of the most exciting and interesting adaptations of a book we've seen.
