About Henry Street Garden Centre

Family run garden centre and rose grower. Relax and enjoy the large plant area and coffee shop.

Henry Street Garden Centre Description

We absolutely love everything to do with gardens, plants, pets and the outdoor lifestyle, and we’re renowned for our horticultural expertise. Roses are our specialist subject, and people come to us for them from all over southern England and beyond. We’ve been growing roses for nearly 100 years and have over 350 varieties!

Our enthusiasm and dedication have earned us an unrivalled reputation throughout the region for our friendly, helpful service and willingness to share our knowledge with customers.

An important factor in our success is the way we engage with our customers: so if you have any gardening questions, don’t hesitate to ask. And do look out for our regular free events, such as rose pruning and care demonstrations – we want to help you get the most out of your gardening.

Our 40 acres of beautiful Berkshire countryside is now in the care of the fifth generation of our family – brothers Mark, Peter, Alan and Tim Goold are very much hands-on in running our independent family firm. We look forward to assisting you, and hope you will get as much pleasure from owning our plants as we do from growing them.

We went to see Santa and what a guy he is! Amazing character! Best Santa we have ever been to. Thank you!

User

We had unexpected visitors so, at 11am on Saturday, my husband decided that we needed new garden furniture. We were at the garden centre by noon and found a set we liked, went home to check measurements and came back to pay just before 1pm. The set was with us by 2.15pm! Amazing service. I've always liked this place but this was above and beyond any expectations.

User

Today we visited Henry Street Cafe for a special ladies 102nd Birthday!! We were looked after so well by the attentive staff there and they exceeded our expectations with the great service they gave us. Thank you!

User

This is our favorite go to place for Sunday morning breakfast which is reasonably priced and very popular. Fast efficient service once you have ordered. It also does all kinds of daytime meals.

The garden centre sells everything you could think of to make your garden complete.

Beautiful plants...garden furniture..books...sweets etc.

The kids can even feed the large fish in a customer friendly pool.

User

My daughter and I enjoyed a very tasty lunch on 27 June to celebrate her birthday . We ordered fish and chips and both really enjoyed it . The staff were very friendly and we only waited a few minutes for our meals .

User

My 2 kids visited Santa today. It was BRILLIANT!!! Santa was the best we've ever met! He was very engaging to the kids and was very funny for us adults!!! The presents he gave the kids were fab! My kids (age 6 & 8) loved walking through the entrance, waiting room and especially knocking on Santa's door! We come here every year and are never disappointed!!! All the staff are excellent! Even the lady on the till was able to tell me where reindeer number 9 was!!

Thank you so much for making my kids' Xmas a magical time!!!

Merry Xmas to all at Henry Street!!!

User

Lovely garden centre and restaurant, just taken the kids to see Father Christmas, well worth the money, and as my kids say "he's the real Father Christmas" we booked in September as tickets go quick! Spent lots of money on lovely gifts for family members ....thank you for a lovely day out x

User

Lovely afternoon spent at Henry street with my 3 boys as an after school treat to start the Easter holidays 🐣we had cake and tea in the coffee shop which tasted yummy and then we did the Easter bunny hunt around the garden centre which was really good fun my eldest loved the chocolate treat at the end 🍫 x

User

Loved the new restaurant. I had the Greek salad which was delicious BUT can I just say that the portion size was enormous! Had about 40 olives, green and black, which I love and lots and lots of colourful tomatoes with cucumber and red onion and feta. I took more than half home and was enough for myself and hubby at teatime! No lettuce though. Would suggest you make portion smaller!

User

Love the new restaurant

User

Just popped in to have a look at Xmas decorations and I wanted to say what an amazing effort the staff have put into the xmas trees etc it looks amazing stopped for a cuppa and piece of carrot cake lovely polite friendly staff and the cake was to die for

User

I enjoyed my lunch with friends at the cafe 👌👌👌

User

Henry Street is an individual garden centre completely in the opposite direction from where I live but well worth the journey. Staff are always helpful and pleasant, there is a huge selection of plants, seeds etc plus, as an added bonus, an extremely good restaurant.

User

Beautiful well worth a visit

User

We always visit the Garden Centre and my little girl loves feeding the fish. We often go in the coffee shop but almost always has big queues and is very expensive.

User

Fantastic place to visit, the place looks amazing with all the Christmas decorations and real Raindeer for the children to see. Father Christmas was great with the kids and the presents were really impressive. Would definitely go back x

User

OK Garden Centre, very pleasant place, but rude staff in the restaurant, really rude.Good selection of plants and bits and pieces.

User

I was really disappointed when I took my girls to see Santa Clause. The actual Santa Claus and elves were good with the girls, but I felt for the money paid that a professional picture would have been taken instead of us having to take one on our phone. The bath toy that one of my girls was given has already broken.

It was such a shame as I had heard such great reports about it.
