We've had a lovely week here and really don't want to go home. Our caravan is top notch, the site is clean and well maintained, and we are really enjoying ourselves. We are in a static caravan which is a real home from home and we can't be more pleased with it. Shame that the tourers are being phased out as there are so many people who now won't be able to enjoy Hoburne Bashley as they have done for many years. Jeff and Carol, Sammy The Seahorse fans! :-D

We stayed at Holburne Bashley for a long weekend & thoroughy enjoyed it. The accomodation was of an excellent standard, staff at the resort were friendly & helpful. Having been there as a child, I ca honestly say it's got even better! Pools were clean & very family orientated. We can't wait for our next holiday at Bashley 😀

User

We absolutely love Bashley but the feeling is not mutual as we are a tourer and after some lovely holidays they are giving us the boot and are getting rid of the last remaining touring field! Absolutely gutted as like many been coming frequently and can't afford a static so we've been pushed out! I'd be very interested to see how busy the entertainment room is when the touring goes and I'm sure the general holiday feel of the place will change! Personally think they should of sold 50% of the new lodges in the first field before getting rid of the last touring field but hey ho it's not our decision!

Such a hidden gem of a holiday resort. Amazing activities ( golf, archery, evening events...) and super modern holiday homes. Thinking about living here Can’t wait for the spa to open Friday. Lovely lunch from the 1912 Brassiere, few different veggie options which, if you know me, you know I hate only being offered two dishes

Friendly staff on reception, restaurant, activities, maintenance and management. Thanks for having me!

My family and I think this is a lovely place to have a holiday. Been here a couple of times now and not been disappointed. Lots to do, the swimming pools are lovely with nice seating areas. We would highly recommend this site.

Just got back from a 3 night stay at Hoburne bashley and all I have to say is that we didn't want to leave! We got a really cheap deal on a 2.bed caravan and wasn't expecting much and we were pleasantly surprised, the caravan was excellent, spacious and very clean. Plenty of room for the 3 of us. The facilities are brilliant, great outdoor and indoor pools, football pitch, crazy golf, tennis courts and a 9 hole golf course plenty for all ages. Entertainment at night was fab for the kids, my little girl enjoyed seeing Sammy the seahorse and danced all night. Food and drink is also great value for money. We will definitely be back, going to book again for next year

User

It's nicer now without the tourers blocking the reception area and parking all around the entrance and also not getting travellers pitching up

It seams to be a more relaxed camp now with a lot of owners being able to enjoy the camp they pay over £4,000 a year to be on

The refurb is very nice and will be enjoyed this year and years to come by my family

User

It was are first time here and found the site site very clean the staff very friendly, lots of things to do with the grandchildren

The evening entertainment for the children and families were fantastic and the entertainment staff full of energy and brilliant with all the kids

The bar staff were fun doing dancing behind the bar

All in all we all loved it

I have been coming here for the last 30 years originally with my parents in their caravan. I have now brought a static caravan of my own which my family and friends love coming to.

I always recommend Bashley to friends not only is the park great but their is so much to do locally and you will never get board.

The great grand children had a whale of a time. Especially in the pools. Excellent indoor and outdoor pools. Very clean. Friendly life guards . Site well kept. Will certainly go again. Very sad to see they no longer have pitches for campervans as we were there in the spring and they were good, with hedging round to give you privacy. Almost five stars but Bingo was on before Sammy and when you have under five's who love him( and the rest of the gang) it was a bit late. Would have been better to have bingo later!!

User

Lovely caravan. Entertainment team are the best. Would have been 5 stars but many of the water splash things in the pool do not work (blocked with limescale) and was served a raw burger in the cafe.

User

Like others who have commented on here, we are tourers and have spent many weekends and holidays over the years in this place. Unfortunately they now think there is money to be made in getting rid of the last touring field to make way for statics! This won't increase the revenue or the family feel for the place in the long term...... good luck with that!!!! End of a era

User

Bashley what can I say ???? We have been visiting your touring field for many many years 30+ and have always been impressed, but this time you have really disappointed.... I know you are closing touring but why oh why let yourselves down so badly . What would it have taken to send your loyal tourers off happy and perhaps even considering returning to a static..... what a let down toilets not even clean no paper broken toilet seats and the list goes on.... The pitches had not even had the grass cut not that it bothers me too much .. but the fact there was NO Warden was appalling with vans not knowing where to go especially when the evenings are now dark, and if there had been an emergency !!!! The only response was well you won't be here again!!! Tourers CAN afford statics it just they choose not to but if the right one came along who knows???? The mentality of Bashley to loyal customers have proven to us that Bashley will not be that site. If your van has been there for the period of 15years and considered unprofitable for them you would be out on your ear.

User

After being the bread and butter of Hoburne for decades, to use the lack of bookings and congested local roads as an excuse to cease touring is absolute twaddle. The fact they will get the ground rent from statics whether they are being used or not has more to do with it!

It's great that they have now installed wifi, pity it's crap.

Hedges are overgrown, pathways obscured by branches, the shower blocks which were always the best were filthy. I refused to use use them.

We went to the pool and all the lockers had the wrist bands missing, when we asked a member of staff why this was she answered that customers hadn't looked after them! Never mind the fact that they should have had some ordered in as replacements.

All this for over £20 a night. I bet Sandy Balls and Shamba are rubbing their hands with glee.

User

Why bother? They are closing the touring field to make way for yet more statics. Very expensive statics. Used to love this place but it's memory will now be tarnished by the current state of the shower block, the poorly maintained field and the lack of access to the rest of the park. Hoburne, you've made your feelings clear, we are going soon.

User

Touring site was ok but they're now kicking the tourers out which is a bit unfair , swimming pool and refurbishment was nice . Ordered a family meal which was disgusting and poorly presented , we weren't the only ones complaining either about the food lots of meals being rejected that day , management said it was due to a wedding function so the they had temp caterers in !! We drive up to the rising sun and had a lovely meal there instead . Whilst on site we had our levelling ramps stolen from our pitch , management weren't too bothered about it . Reception area needs more staff always a long queue , mainly due to people booking gym membership which should have its own reception I think . Wouldn't go back again even if touring was continuing

User

My rating is due to the non-existent gluten-free menu available at this holiday park. I asked what GF choices they had on offer, to be told salad and maybe a piece of gammon Come on Hoburn, get into the 21st Century.

User

Gutted to say the least. Have been coming to Bashley since I was a kid and for the last seven years with my kids who love the place, we have had a static and went back to touring as love to move about. Will miss coming to bashley deeply. Payed good money to come for the week, toilet block was disgusting and the new pool was showing signs of age already with kids fountains not working and no key tags in the locker rooms , such a shame. Rip bashley touring.

If I could leave 0 stars then I would.

Went to Bashley today to look around with the intention to buy a caravan. To start with, the receptionist was incredibly rude. Then when we got round to the sales room we were greeted by Sheena who immediately wanted to talk money and when she realised she couldn’t talk us into buying a new caravan she quickly lost interest. This was rather annoying especially as we had discussed on the phone which van we were interested in. So after driving for over an hour to have a look around we were then informed that the van was only allowed to be on park for 8 more years before it would be sold at trade value by the park. This would work out at nearly £8000 a year including site fees for a van worth £33000 to then get back “trade value” for it.

I guess some people are happy with that but we definitely wasn’t told this over the phone despite asking for all of the information. Obviously she wanted to get us there and sell us the idealism of owning a caravan before dropping the bombshell that we would be throwing our money away. So, over 2 hours total driving to arrive, be told the vital information she should have given over the phone and then to leave. What a waste of time! Thanks Sheena, for wasting our time and for your general dismissive and rude behaviour.
