Went on Saturday with the family. Kids absolutely loved it. Big thanks to Reena and Karen who were brilliant from start to finish. Both a big credit to the company and very passionate about what they do.

Amazing morning at Hollywood Bowl Oxford... such a great deal for kids to bowl eat and drink plus added 50% off before 10. Brilliant food and great service... couldn’t fault it!

This is not a reflection on the place or staff itself.. but just had my phone bill.. calling these people to make a group booking of 16 people..not to mention the drinks we bought.. cost me 7 pounds in phone calls ?? 7 pounds !! What a liberty !! Absaloute disgraceful �����

Had a party for our 6yr old with 10 children. Great for a party venue but only thing we didn’t like was the host took all the children over to the food area without checking with an adult while we were left gathering up gifts, cake etc

Took the kids for a day out we pre booked the lane and had a lovely time. However when we went to order food we were left waiting at the bar as it was understaffed. We then had to wait an hour for the food to arrive, there were no sauces or cutlery and the food was luke warm,for the price we paid the children's portions were tiny. The tables were dirty from left over food and the toilets were also very dirty. I would go again for the bowling however don't think we're be ordering food anytime soon.

Popped in for a few cocktails before going to cinema ordered a pitcher of fruit salad should of tasted just like the sweets tasted of grapefruit friends ordered something different guess what tasted of grapefruit. So we had pink gins very nice. Turtle bay in town has better choice and much nicer.

Some friends and I booked our children in for bowling and lunch. A deal which had been emailed to us. It looked a great deal and it would have been if all the children were able to actually bowl.

We split our children into the older ones and younger ones. And the lane our younger children (3 x 3 year olds) were supposed to be using was faulty. The pad was not linked to the screen and no results from the bowling lane registered on the screen. On top of that the bowling lane itself would only reset once all the pins had been knocked over. We called the staff over numerous time to sort the problem out to eventually be told there was nothing they could do to fix the problem. On top if that there were no other lanes available for younger children to use. Apparently all lanes were booked all day.

So we asked for a refund to be told they do not give out refunds!?!? Instead a voucher to return another day which was not acceptable in my opinion. If the children had played a partial game or a disturbed game I could possibly understand this but the younger children had not been able to bowl AT ALL.

And as most parents can understand they didn't take this news very well!!

After lots of debating with the staff and elusive manager we were finally offered a partial refund and some nachos with our meal.

Once sat down to eat our meal I noticed 8 free lanes. Which was a real contradiction to what we had been told by the staff a few minutes earlier.

We took our children to PartyMan World after lunch to make up for it. Which obviously made our day more expensive.

I will not be returning to Hollywood Bowl again. The problem with the lane itself was disappointing but the customer service was not good enough either. So one very unhappy and disappointed customer.

Yet again another awful experience. Took a group of 9 in March, and had nothing but problems with the booking made, and the quality of the lanes. Received free vouchers to go back again as they don’t do refunds, took the kids back tonight and between the 4 of us, after over an hour of bowling, and living lanes twice, we had 1 frame each. Constant problems with the lanes, and very down let down again. Will receiving vouchers really be worth it?? Maybe you should offer paying customers there money back, not stupid vouchers that wasted our time again!!

Wouldn't let me and the missus in for bowling because we're from Bristol.



Absolute disgrace. Avoid the place like the plague.

What a total mess of what was meant to be my daughter Sofia's 13 birthday party!!! Not only was it totally unorganised, was no balloons or party feeling, party was booked for 330 but had to wait 20mins for the lanes, then they had double booked lanes, no staff on hand, when asked for the food was told no more was being served! You F%@king what???? So you are telling me that I have 16 children here for a party and are not going to be fed!!!!! And then have to pay £55 for 16 cookies and cokes just so they have had something! You whole customer service was appalling and will never be coming to any of your places again!!! #hollywoodbowloxford

There was hardly any staff around. Funnily, the same guy checked us in, was at the bar when I was ordering and was helping to fix our lane. Quite a hero - shame I can't remember his name.

Understaffed in all areas.

For the staff that are there they a defiantly Unmotivated . It’s Messy, slow service, huge lack of customer service and with so many young kids that are clearly not happy and have had inadequate training. Toilets are not checked often enough poor cleaning and upkeep. Not a place I would go unless I was visiting the cinema and had a little time to kill.

This doesn't relate to the staff on site but, we booked a birthday party for our little boy a couple of weeks ago. The cost was £140......we knew this bit, expensive enough but, we did know, so that's fine.

We've just had our mobile bill........the telephone call to book the party cost over £10!!! At the time, my partner commented on how slow the lady on the phone was and how many times she repeated things. Now we know why!

If you're booking a party, or need to speak to them, go in and do it in person.

The worst the pool tables are old and showing rips and tears and still they ent fixed it so we decided me and 3 other people went to play bowling and when the pins was coming down they would of constantly full down so we called them over more then 3 times and all they did was deleted the scare and walked of then it was still happening they moved us to different lane first 2 turns was okay and then boom it happens all over again the pins was falling over and the male guy working there was not helpful and didn’t care at tall so I spoke to the manger and she said in the company Prosieges they don’t do refunds or nothing so I said if you was me and I was you would you be happy and both the manger and the male worker said no then did nothing not even gave us a free game never never going back here ... RIP OF FOR MONEY ...

One of the worst experiences of food service I've ever had. We ordered our food at the diner yesterday at midday and were told there was a 30 minute wait for food, which was fine. Despite the fact that it wasn't busy with customers, it took 45 minutes for my meal to come, minus the sour cream that was supposed to come with the fries. I started to pick at food hoping my friend's meal would come soon but another 15 minutes went by and still no sign of his food. He went to ask where it was and they claimed the food had been ready but they didn't know the table number, even though he had told them when he ordered. So overall it took an hour for my friend to get a burger and fries, by which time my food had gone cold. The food should have been brought out at the same time to prevent this. Plus my cheesy fries were not up to standard as a lot of the cheese wasn't melted. When I complained to the manager he apologised and he got a waitress to bring me a new bowl of cheesy fries, which were better but still without sour cream! I had to ask the waitress again and she then brought it over. The food was average, so it wasn't worth waiting so long for, and we had travelled for an hour and a half to come here so we will never come again thanks to the appalling service. So disappointing.

Manager: Right, we need to sort the rota for Saturday lunchtime.



Assistant Manager: OK, Oxford are playing Northampton so we'll have 9,000 fans in the area with nowhere else to drink. We've also got some birthday parties booked and kids will want to buy Slushies from the bar.



Manager: Great, in that case rota on two bar staff.



Assistant Manager: Surely we need at least five?



Manager: No, two will be fine.



Assistant Manager: Er... OK. Anything else boss?



Manager: Yes, make sure one of them is really slow at serving. We don't want to risk selling too much beer and running out.

Had my daughters 10 birthday party here Sunday and won't be back again!

We were left to get on with it and had to wait ages when the lanes broke when we went to the party are it was dirty the tables hadn't been cleared from the party before!

The food came out but we had to wait over half an hour for there drink which despite being pre ordered I had to tell them what drinks they wanted 3 times! We asked for ketchup which never came.

There ice cream came and only some had flakes,

At the end i had to ask 3 times for there glow in the dark wrist band (which they should of had at the beginning to glow while bowling) and there group photo as pple where leaving!

I asked for my daughters cake to come out and it was brought to me still in the carrier bag and dumped on the table!

My daughter left in tears!
