Last egg @ Hungry Corner. Chickens have lived here alongside us in the courtyard since the day we came 20 years ago. Today the last will leave, no more sunnyside up in this kitchen.
Hungry Corner in all her glory, dare not tell her it could be her last year to show off.....
Home.
Greenhouse free to anyone willing to dismantle it. 6ft by 8ft. Green aluminium. Double door opening for easy access. Worth £1400 10 years ago. Please share.
So like his Mummy, Toby needs to sell his tractor. Any takers? Comes with trailer. all in good working order, full service history, much loved. £25
Too many goodbyes to dear old friends for my liking at the moment. Our long serving John Deere 2650 left today. Farmyard eerily empty :(
The entire sheep flock leave Hungry Corner today. Off for a night in hotel accommodation in Ashford tonight, before their debut in the auction ring tomorrow. It has been a privilege to have lived with and get to know some interesting characters in the last two and a half years, so sad that chapter of our family's life has to end. Goodbye!
Making the most of the school run still including a bit of off roading, to check the sheep.
Grass is so lush and green behind the house, just had to add sheep, for the perfect view from the kitchen window.
Manure for free to good homes, or allotments! Large heap of sheep dung, well rotted for 3 years. Excellent for Autumn soil enrichment. come fill your bags. Would love it to go to good use. Please share.
First good crop from a young cooking apple tree, planted 5 years ago. Crumble anyone?
Come November, these fine young ladies will be homeless. Any takers? (They will be going cheap.)
The big wrench from this place is well under way now. Lots to rehome, think I'd rather sell eggs and veg.
It's a cucurbit takeover at Hungry Corner.....
The view from the top of the grainstore at Hungry Corner today. In twenty years, I have never ventured up the steep ladders inside this redundant building, housing a monster of a machine, till today. Possibly the highest point in Chiddingfold, looking over the windmill base below.
