Infinity Foods Co-Operative Ltd Description
Organic and Wholefoods Shop in the Heart of Brightons North Laine district. Over the years, in line with the increasing demand for natural and organic wholefoods, Infinity Foods has in turn grown and evolved.
What began as a small shop in 1971; is today a thriving, bustling shop brimming with an extensive range of vegetarian products ranging from store cupboard essentials to freshly baked bread and seasonal fruit and vegetables.
There have been several moves and expansions along the way but our founding principles and ethics have remained constant and continue to guide our business practice to this day.
Having followed us along our journey, many of our regular customers are part of our story and we are hugely proud of their loyalty and commitment. As each new change dawns at Infinity, our excitement is shared and mirrored in the rapport and exchange between staff and customers, something that we welcome and value greatly.
Infinity Foods has been a workers' co-operative since 1979. Simply defined, a workers' co-operative is a business run by its workers for its workers. It is jointly owned and democratically run by its members. There are no outside shareholders or owners to satisfy.
This creates a more motivated and unified workforce where everyone feels involved in the successful running of the business. Each member has a vote and can give input via regular member meetings.
Ideas of equality and fairness are fundamental to the co-operative. We gauge the success of the business not only in terms of profit but also through environmental and social responsibility and involvement in our local community.

Well I've been shopping in this wonderful place since I was a kid as I grew up just down North Road. And now that I have a food biz I'm a wholesale customer and always popping in for the rest...as well as my essential oils and hair products. Always enough of the best fruit and veg there and loads of amazing vegan products plus the staff are all so lovely and helpful. Newly refurbished cafe is outstanding! Food is delicious and there are some great new items on the menu, such as Vegan pancakes and maple syrup! The staff are friendly and the service is excellent. The price is very reasonable too! Well worth a visit!

I was amazed to see vegan flapjacks, cakes and brownies in the bakery section as well as vegan pizzas.
I went in mainly to see the organic, natural and chemical free products, there was such an extensive range to browse, I could’ve stayed in there for hours.
I left with 3x homemade coconut soaps, colloidal silver, anti bacterial spray, 3x small bottles of hand soap, mosquito spray, a flapjack, a brownie and a raspberry and almond bun. All for exactly £44.44!
I will definitely be returning to this shop and I’d recommend it to everyone.

Oh well, I want to love this place, but will rather go to my local health shop that is cheaper, more spacious, with fewer Trustafarians!
