We had our wedding here 3 years ago today so we may be a bit biased. However we have just had the most amazing dinner, love your menu, excellent service, beautiful venue... just wish I’d had room for pudding! �

Popped in for a drink on our way to Emsworth for a short break. The lady at the bar was very happy to serve us with just a tea and latte. Very friendly with excellent coffee. It was pouring with rain but we sat by the window and had lovely views. Thank you.

My partner and I visited on Saturday 30th June and I must say, I'm really confused by the mixed bag of reviews. The online booking process was really simple. We were a bit early so sat downstairs outside with a drink to kill some time. There was a bar downstairs serving drinks in plastic glasses for outside consumption and taking orders for bar food which was served from the hut. The Bar food looked tasty and wasn't expensive, and was fairly efficiently dispatched. Time came for our booking (8pm), so we went upstairs to the restaurant party of the Inn, and were shown to our table, what an awesome view. Service was prompt throughout despite it being busy. In the restaurant, the food standard was stepped up a notch from that seen served from the hut, and was of a good quality, and when judged against the price was excellent value. We saw people being seated as late as 9:30pm, so confused about some of the reviews about the kitchen closing early. Would we go again? Absolutely, we'd make the trip down from Berkshire specifically.

My partner and I absolutely love this place great food and service,always go out their way to serve you, friendly and always with a smile, can’t wait to try the new downstairs bar.

Fantastic views and tasty high quality generous portions of food. The staff couldn't do enough and considering there was 14 of us not one meal was disappointing. Well recommended for a large or small celebration.

Excellent place to bring friends and family. Parking is limited so expect to park in pay and display.

However the beachfront parking view is a bonus

Chanced a walk in table. Waiter explained there would be a 40 min wait so had a drink outside whilst watching an amazing sunset. Seated at 8.45pm as advised. Excellent service - very friendly staff. Loved the lamb and butternut squash dishes (a huge plateful!). Would definitely return - very impressed with location, customer service, food quality and price.

Absolutely fabulous place, stunning food, well served drinks and service with a smile. The only downside is they don’t take American Express but hey, so many places still don’t... Will definitely be back and will be recommending to others!

Went for a Sunday Roast yesterday, food was lovely. Hospitality was really good too, as my mum struggles with walking and breathing, and as there is no lift ( listed building) , staff helped her up the stairs and down again to the car. So the only downfall was having no disability Route.

Well thought this would be a lovely place to eat and spend time with the Mr to find a female hitler charging round being very rude to possible clients �surprise she didn’t get my custom very very rude lady how they get customers surprised

Vegetarian choice really bad, no starter other than salads so on the last three occasions I have to have bread and normally olives only today no olives. Today I couldn’t even have vegetarian gravy to go with my roast vegetables, my Sunday roast was therefore very dry.

Pervious occasion I asked for egg and chips as I didn’t enjoy the vegetarian choices, salads, a dish made with butternut squash which I had had on a previous visit with friends that I didn’t enjoy, only to be told you didn’t have eggs.

You have such a beautiful setting and my husband and friends enjoy your meat and fish dishes, please can you give your menu a bit more thought towards vegetarians.

Went in on Friday early evening, queued at the bar for over half an hour only to repeatedly be pushed behind people that had been waiting for 5 minutes. Only two members of staff working behind the bar which was ridiculous considering how busy it was- we gave up and went elsewhere- definitely will not waste our time coming here again

We walked there yesterday (1 1/2 miles on a bank holiday Monday) to find that the only food they did was a beach hut outside, very limited menu and to order upstairs in the pub and go down and wait for your name to be shouted, my husband went up after 15 mins of waiting and hearing NO names called in this time only to be spoken to very rudely by the woman behind the counter, (she was the one wearing a white top) , it was quiet embarrassing, we eventually got the food, one burger and chips (£10) and the other a falafel (£5) with salad and a piece of pitta, most of it went in the bin, the burger was bland and dry the chips were drenched in fat, my falafels (4 of them) were rock hard, the pitta you couldn't eat it was rock hard as well, the salad and sauce were ok. The staff behind the bar were really nice. Will not be going back there again, and we heard the same woman having another go at a customer. Such a shame as the location is amazing. We live on the island and like to take our guests to nice places well this won't be one of them.

Unnecessarily rude and unpleasant woman behind the bar, same both times I’ve been. Shame, ruins what looks like a nice place. Didn’t even stay to order. Went to the Maypole pub instead which was lovely and friendly.

This place is not worth going, 6 of us went there for dinner, with lots of tables available outside and inside they told us we needed to book it and refuse to serve us. Stuff not friendly and one of the Barman the short one had a attitude.

We will never recommend this to no one.

Most of the time all you need is a glass of beer and some sunshine to be happy but you can't run a place with that assumption. To start with, they serve beer in plastic cups - a grown up man deserves a glass. They wouldn't serve a juice to under 18 because it's ordered from a bar. How ridiculous is that?? And bar is the only place where you they take orders, it's not like you can order from a beach hut. They refused to sell me guacamole as an extra with my burger and chips becauase it can be only ordered with chips alone (but not if I take burger with it). Really???? They are lucky they have no competition within a mile!!!

Front of house customer service was shocking! When I asked if I could have a table I received a stern “NO!” I then asked if I could sit in the bar and order food, again “NO!” Even though there are plenty of empty tables. Please get rid of this woman, she brings nothing to your business! She was even being rude to the waiting staff. Shame as I love this pub. Worst customer service experience I’ve had in a long time. Won’t be coming back that’s for sure as I’m sure many others won’t from what I saw

Completely offended by "the manager " we we're treated like second class citizens . A customer service car crash is how I would describe it , we only had some mediocre outside bar snacks as the restaurant is far to exclusive for the likes of us to be invited to . It was a shame to have our guests experience such appalling communication , totally embarrassed thank the Lord I don't have to go back there and experience vile behavior from a women that unfortunately does have to go back there .The rest of the staff were great
