Our dishes tend to be pretty balanced and might not need the acidity or bitterness that wine or beer can offer, but... We did some research, tastings, study and here is a bit of info for you to have even better experience while visiting Ivory Tusk Restaurant:
TANDOORI MEATS If you like BEER consider a Bangla or Cobra. It’s refreshing and cut the fattiness of the meat, but it also of...fers fruit and spice in its own right.
If you are WINE lover reach for Riesling, Chenin Blanc and Montagny, which have a hint of white blossom, with an elegant dry finish.
CREAMY CURRIES LAGERS are a good bet, they are smooth and bready, with maltiness to cut through the richness.
Red WINE with a good balance of tannin and acidity is necessary here. We recommend Australian Shiraz and Pinotage from South Africa with a hint of earth and spice.
MILD VEGETABLE-PANEER DISHES Kingfisher BEER likes to pair mild, malty porter with many kinds of vegetable dishes, especially when there are warm spices like garam masala in the preparation.
If you fancy COCKTAILS; Rooh makes a chai punch with Assam tea and grapefruit shrub that goes well with vegetarian dishes.
SPICY FOOD If you are a COCKTAIL lover, we recommend something crisp and fresh, with some spice to it. A mango mule, with the tart fruit and spicy ginger beer, for example, would be ideal.
If you fancy WINE we recommend the aromatic, tropical-tinged Sauvignon Blanc from New Zeland, and Chenin Blanc is also a safe bet with anything spicy.

The best King Prawn Korai I have ever had :) I find it difficult to eat this dish anywhere else as it is never as good as at The Ivory Tusk.

Omg!! I’ve never tasted flavours like it, fantastic menu!! My mouth is tingling!!!!

Of the many Indian restaurants I visit I can truly say that the food here is exceptional, the flavours are well balanced and clearly distinguishable from each other. I've given 5 stars because 4.75 is not an option. The only minor niggle I have with the Ivory Tusk is that they don't serve espresso.

Never disappoints. Lovely evening spent with my parents. Food as usual spot on - salmon tikka starter is delish. Was very very busy, every table full and plenty of take aways. I overheard someone say to their friend 'it's always an occasion to come to The Ivory Tusk' and they're not wrong. Staff could not be more helpful even though they were rushed off their feet. Thanks for another smashing curry 👍👍👍

Food is always really good. Service can be a bit slack as there are too many waiters serving the same tables there also seems to be too many of them asking you if you want another drink even if someone has already gone to get you one. Would much rather bring me my food and drink and leave me alone if I want something else I'll ask YOU. Apart from this the food is outstanding

Dined here with my father on a surprisingly busy Thursday evening. I wasn't expecting much from a small local Indian restaurant but I was blown away by this very fine dining experience. The staff were plentiful without being over attentive, the decor was clean and crisp and the food felt very fresh. Our tandooris were perfectly crisp without a hint of greeciness and delicately marinaded.

I can't recommend this place highly enough.

Best Indian meal I've had for quite a while. And also could use my TasteCard for 2 for 1 on starters and mains. All the dishes where presented well, and everything tasted lovely. Will be going back again soon.

This is a lovely restaurant but service very slow when very busy like on Saturday got their at 8 p m did not get out till gone 10 took order AN waited nearly a hour for main course wen ask were was the waiter went to kitchen to find out and the manager said our order been missed ( not great wen hungry) so did say sorry few times and did not charge for starters but the food it is excellent so wen go again we get great service now !! So yes go

Good modern decor. We went on a Thursday night and it was packed. Food was very good, but food service was slow - they managed to bring wine very rapidly though!
