We had a lunch at Jack Rabbits on a way back home from Dovedale. The place was great, they had a box full with toys, colouring books for children, as we were with our 2 yer old, that was lifesaving, we knew that we will will be able to sit down and have a nice meal while our son is exploring new toys. It is really hard to find nice places where to eat and where is some sort of entertainment available for children. Thumbs up, Jack Rabbit! Food was nicely prepared and fresh, I was told that all ingredients were locally sourced. Nice meal options for children available. It was a bit long wait till we got our food, but I did not mind as cup of tea were brought to me quickly :)

I've always had a soft spot for jack rabbits but felt the service can let them down at times and haven't been for that reason. We have been twice in the last month an the service has stepped up hugely. Everything was much slicker and the atmosphere has returned! Great job, keep up the good work!

Exceptional food, amazing chef, great friendly and helpful staff, lovely atmosphere and a fabulous time had by all! Will definitely revisit and certainly recommend to my friends and family... loved it!

Delicious food that is full of flavour, excellent presentation. Coffee here is the best in Ashbourne (and quite possibly the whole county), this comes from a very hard to please Coffee connoisseur. I highly recommend the cappuccino (with an extra shot of Espresso).

Absolutely superb choice of #glutenfree food available. Glutenfree scones, fresh soup, freshly made AMAZING bread, potato pancakes, brownies and more. Lovely busy atmosphere, child friendly, great choice of drinks including Karma Cola and other healthier choices. Attentive service and lovely surroundings too. Big fan! Thank you �

Service is a bit slow , especially at weekends when I think Saturday staff cover .

Food is very good , I had the broth which was very good but I do object to having a tea spoon to eat it with !

When I asked if they had anything bigger I was given a funny look and told

“No that’s all we have “ and then they turned away

Well worth a visit but be prepared to wait and have your hot drink go cold before lunch arrives.

This place was fab when it first opened. Think it's gone downhill since, went yesterday and it's lost the personal service there was before. You now order at counter and pay then and there - our order was dropped on kitchen floor and when it still hadn't appeared after 30 minutes if I hadn't have paid I would have walked. There were apologies and a free coffee next time but the staff don't seem as good - the two young men behind the counter watched me struggle with a buggy on the way in and out! Another customer leapt to help - not them. Such shame, loved this when it first opened.
