I made today's card by paper piecing. This is one of the stamp sets - Graceful Garden - I recommended in yesterday's paper piecing video. I thought of a couple more tips as I worked on this card and have shared them on my blog.

Today's video shows how to do paper piecing. I chose the You've Got Style Stamp Set, and have used some white felt for the collar, cuffs and hat band. It's so soft to touch, very tactile! This is the link to the video: https://youtu.be/UShzU1WvwSs

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL!
Because the quality of Stampin' Up! products is second to none, I keep all the numbers, letters, and shape dies and punches (plus a lot more besides!!) Yesterday it was my granddaughter's 15th birthday, and I decorated the Pull Up Birthday Card I'd made in a video a week ago. I used four sets of retired dies for the card! Today's card is my first play with P.S. You're the Best Stamp Set. I decided I'd create a card using only products that are currently available to customers, i.e. all products I've used are from the Annual Catalogue. I fussy cut the typewriter which was amazingly easy to do! Full details are on my blog today at www.janbcards.com

I used the Wonderful Romance Stamp Set to create today's card. The Organdy Ribbon is from the Combo pack of five colours in the Sale-a-bration Pack. The five colours are the same as the five colours in the Gingham Gala 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper Pack. More details are on my blog today: www.janbcards.com

Today's video shows how I made three cards using the Vibrant Vases Stamp Set..........all with the vases upside-down. Two out of three work brilliantly, third one works if you squint at it! LOL! Inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest. Someone had painted three flowers on a sheet of non-coloured floral patterned DSP. I decided to have a go with a sheet from the Botanical Butterflies Designer Series Paper. The first one I coloured just the butterflies, and the second one I coloured all the flowers and left the butterflies unpainted. Which do you prefer - painted or unpainted butterflies? Today's card is my first play with Vibrant Vases Stamp Set. It's a two-step stamp set, and has been designed to leave a lot of white areas around the flowers. I used my Marker Pen to colour in the white and I love the effect I have achieved. The vase I have used is upside down; or should I say turned the oppostite way up! Your choice! To create today's card I've used the Wishing You Well and Snowflake Sentiments Stamp Sets. I've also used the Detailed Deer and the Farmhouse Dies. It's an unusual colour combo for me i.e. Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake and Tranquil Tide, but I think it's good to get outside one's comfort zone now and again! Today's video is my take on the Pull Up card. I wanted a smaller version so changed the measurements from a 6" x 6" down to a 4.5" x 4.5". It was a bit of a challenge, but I succeeded in the end! https://youtu.be/Fg0e8e5u9rs
