With thick, curly, unruly hair I suffered decades of bad haircuts. Thankfully I was introduced to Alex at Jimmy Chop Chop over 5 years ago, I now have haircuts that suit my hair type and face shape and no longer hate my hair. Alex is great at what he does and easy to sit and chat with, no stale cliched conversations about the weather!

Such a great salon experience, everyone is so welcoming and friendly. Steph has been my hairdresser for some time now and she is amazing. She always offers great expert advice and goes through everything with you before hand. Steph is very talented and truly works her magic and makes you look and feel terrific. Highly recommend.

My 20 month old had his first haircut here with Curtis this week. He was so friendly, patient and good with my boy, and did such a great job. Everyone’s been complimenting him - they love his new do! The other staff were great too, giving him a certificate and baggie for us to keep his locks of hair. Will definitely be returning.

If you want the best then I highly recommend Amie. She is an absolute perfectionist. I say perfectionist .... because her cutting skills are simply outstanding. Not only did I feel that she applied the correct tension when cutting my hair but Amie cross checked the cut so very thoroughly making sure it was all even and balanced. You may not know the absolute importance of this unless you are a hairdresser yourself but that was a proper cut! A very happy customer!!

I've been having my hair cut with Alex for around 10years now, after i was too scared to go anywhere after having my hair ruined elsewhere, and I would never go anywhere else now! I can let him loose with my hair and not worry about what it's going to look like! I could not recommend him enough! Thanks Alex :)

I'm lucky enough to have found an excellent hairdresser in Alex! Lovely guy, very helpful and great personality. I've struggled in the past to find a good hairdresser because my hair is very thick. The receptionists are lovely ladies too. A great experience, thoroughly recommend them. 😄

I won’t let ANYONE near my mop apart from Alex and the Jimmy ChopChop team. Honestly, the man is a genius. He has the patience of a saint (“I think we’ll leave it long this time”.... Five minutes later... “Actually, can you just shave it all off?”).. is the friendliest bloke ever, and going to get my hair done is a genuine joy. Love, love, love the salon - everyone who works there - from the reception team, to Jim himself, are absolutely the nicest folk you’ll ever meet. I’ve been a loyal customer for many years now and the service is second to none, from the moment you walk in with the warm and welcoming reception staff, through to the friendly hair washers, to the professional stylist. Down to the cut itself, I’ve always walked away with a smile on my face and that’s all down to the genius that is Alex. The man’s got mad skills! Plus he is mind reader as he knows what I want and how to achieve it each and every time. I’m often led by him as I trust him implicitly to make my barnet on trend again! Thank you to all at JCC!

I came here for the first time last month because I needed my hair sorted! Kristy was lovely, she sat with me for my consultation and was really honest with me. She reassured me throughout the appointment what she was doing and why. I’ve had bad experiences with having a balayage and was really nervous about trying again. Kristy was amazing and she basically revitalised my hair and I can’t wait to go back for the next appointment

Alex always knows what's best when it comes to styling my hair, i happily go in and let him do his thing and I'm always more than pleased with the result! One of the main reason I keep coming back is the friendly, almost a family atmosphere that welcomes you when you walk in the door

All the staff are friendly and they don’t seem to change, a good sign that the staff are happy

Would highly recommend Jimmy ChopChop, only suggestion for improvement would be a choccy biscuit to dunk in the coffee!!

From colour and cut to going out styles , always leave JCC feeling amazing and would highly recommend to all. Also have two very happy teenagers who regularly have their hair cut and coloured at JCC .
