Looking forward to welcoming Levi to guest DJ for us. Levi will bring another dimension to our wide range of Blues tracks. Expect some Latin/Tango fusion as well as Funky and ofcourse the Trad Blues that we love.

Following on from our very successful first First Sunday workshops and freestyle, with Paul Warden yesterday, I am pleased to annouce the second one, this time with rising star Naomi Hulbert from Taunton. Naomi won the Allstar JnJ at the New Year Swing Fling last year. She has already established an enviable reputation as a popular teacher and stylish dancer, and several Oxford Westies have said how much they are looking forward to attending her workshop on 23 Feb. Again this... workshop is for dancers already fmailiar with Basic moves, and will continue with the theme of Styling and Musicality through basic moves and variations. Basic body movement with out affecting the connection. Working as a partnership. An hour's freestyle after the workshop. So, it is certainly appropriate that Catriona is teaching our last WCS Tuesday night class, this Tuesday, as she was the teacher who started us off in 2015, and has supported us throughout, travelling 1.5 hours+ each way to do so. It's been a brilliant four years, and hopefully the monthly WCS events on the first Sunday of every month, starting this coming Sunday 3 Feb, will be popular, and allow us to progress our WCS dancing fun!!! Jive+ is 18 years old today!!! On 27 Jan 2001 Richard Chambers and I ran our first freestyle @ Exeter Hall. I know Katy Bartlett was there, and Fred thinks he was. Plus Mike and Dennis Halward.
