The properties and usage of Kaylan
Strong and durable, Kaylan abrasion resistant materials are tough enough to withstand all manner of impacts. That's why they're so popular as municipal spares and are also used extensively as rally car parts such as rally mud flaps. And although it's incredibly light Kaylan features impressive load-bearing capacity and is highly flexible, making it the ideal material for a wide range of engineering applications. Kaylan is available in a range of hardnesses, from 30° Shore A to over 80° Shore D and comes in any colour, shape or form as well as being available in sizes up to 10 metres in length, up to 2 metres in diameter and from just a couple of grams to over 1000kg. Adiprene and Vulkollan are two of the high quality raw materials that are used in our flexible production process where we can make either a one-off or one million pieces per year.
