"The Hard" bus interchange is taking shape now. Now we have a nicer view than of the old building that was there.

We chose this hotel due to the location for the Historic Dockyard which is just across the road. It definitely needs some tlc but our room was huge, comfortable and clean with great views of the Warrior. The staff were really helpful and friendly with a really good breakfast. We would recommend this hotel.
The place has character, yes the room will have torn wallpaper, but it is clean and a great location, great breakfast, and great staff.
The hotel is old and some of the stair and landing carpets are worn.
The staff are friendly and helpful, every single one of them! The room was clean and comfortable the harbour view is amazing even with the refurbishment of the bus station in front of the hotel.
The breakfast is great, staying here is a treat. I will definitely recommend it.
The location is fantastic for gunwharf quays and the transport network and Portsmouth Historic Dockyard.
Really enjoyed our stay and yes it's an old hotel and tired but really enjoyed our stay as it is a bed and breakfast and lovely one at that. And it cannot be that bad as it was FULL while we were here. Staff very friendly and helpful . Close to everything we wanted 3 minutes to dock gates and 3 minutes to Gunwharf Quays so what more to you want. We will definitely come back again. Thank you very much
Needs a facelift but it is clean and comfortable. The staff are all friendly and helpful and the breakfast is great. Car park is free and just a couple of minutes away. Really convenient for the historic dockyard and gunwharf quays. We'll definitely be going back π
Miss it although it is very simple hotel
Love this place, so friendly and helpful staff, delicious breakfast and so close to everything. Ten stars if that was possibel, we are so much looking foreward to coming back in September.
I love this place. Brilliant, friendly and very helpful staff from the Owners right down to the Housekeeping staff. Fantastic breakfasts too.
With age comes 'talkative' floor boards but you find that everywhere.
I try to stay here every time I go to Portsmouth.
stayed here a few times now,and always enjoyed our stay.
Perfect location
Nice stay good hotel staff very good will use again . Its one place where the staff go out of the way to make you feel at home
Hotel is tired and in need of a major facelift. However the staff are friendly and helpful, the food is good and the hotel couldn't be better placed for the bus station, Portsmouth Harbour train station, Gunwarf Keys and the historic dockyard
