Our first visit this season from the Roscoff Onion Johnnies. Beautiful quality. The smoked garlic strings smell amazing. Stocked up and ready to go. They will be visiting us regularly throughout the autumn and winter, with their final visit in March.
We have been receiving visits from the these guys for about 15 years. The bicycle delivery is no longer but their van comes laden as they arrive from their ferry journey across the channel. They come wearing their berets and always greet us with huge smiles and a ‘bonjour’! It is not a costume and an act...... these are the real thing ‘Onion Johnnies’ carrying on the tradition since 1920’s
