We had our beautiful wedding at Langshott yesterday and it was wonderful. The venue is stunning but what really made it for us was the staff. Everyone we came into contact with was just amazing at ensuring our wedding ran smoothly. The afternoon tea was delicious and we had the perfect day. A huge thank you to all the staff for doing such a wonderful job. We will be recommending Langshott to everyone we know.
We had a lovely afternoon tea....food was delicious and our waitress carolina couldn't have been more accommodating especially as we had someone with special dietary requirements in our party.....setting is stunning too....would highly recommend this
This hotel was absolutely stunning, rooms were breathtaking and staff so friendly. My complements have to go to the chef, my breakfast this morning was by far the best I have eaten, absolutely magnificent.
Had a lovely afternoon tea, with lovely sandwiches, cakes and lovely homemade scones. The staff were lovely and we had a walk round the grounds after. Beautiful place xx
Beautiful surroundings, lovely luxurious hotel. We felt thoroughly spoilt and very well looked after during our special celebratory weekend, celebrating our Wedding Anniversary. Highly recommend this hotel - everything about it is simply lovely and you will come away feeling totally pampered and refreshed.
Beautiful place to stay, the staff are all amazing. Thank you for all you did for my brothers wedding. You helped to make a fabulous day even better
A birthday afternoon treat from 2 fab friends. Thoroughly enjoyed the freshly made sandwiches, cakes and scones with cream and jam. Champagne went down very smoothly and all of which was served by friendly staff. I would definitely return there and also recommend a visit for anyone wanting a relaxing and pleasant afternoon in a beautiful setting.
We stayed overnight, with dinner and breakfast. The room, staff and food was outstanding. The only two negatives were the green fire exit light glowing all night in the bedroom and the draft from the ( closed) patio doors in the Mulberry restaurant .
We are there for working so not seen much of the hotel or the local area but what I have seen is very nice
The food and wine was absolutely delicious. The restaurant is amazing, everything we ordered was perfect. The service was also fantastic, the staff were very charismatic and helpful. The breakfast was also delicious, great high quality products used.
Unfortunately our room (Savill) was very cold and we requested that our radiators were switched on while we were at dinner. They promised this would be sorted, but when came back to a very cold room with no heating on. It was too late to fuss about asking again so we got in bed and layered up the sheets. I would recommend that when they place guests in any of the mews rooms, that they remind them to close the main door into the building behind them, as this was often left wide open - no wonder our room was so cold!
My sister treated my husband and I to an afternoon tea which was lovely. We had to ask to be moved as the first room we were offered a seat in was like a waiting room crammed full of people side by side. But to their fabulous efforts and curtious behaviour we were reseated in a more relaxing room 'St Peters' where we got to enjoy our afternoon treats.
Lovely hotel. Excellent food water is extremely hot! And shower over bath in Windsor room is for short people.
Loved the stay & the taster menu. The room was a good size with an excellent shower.
The only negative was the £28 for two G&Ts that is outrageously expensive. I wouldn't even pay that In central London.
Had a lovely meal last night in the restaurant. Congratulations to the chef and team.
Only thing to mention is that when I ask for a Gin & Tonic I don't expect to be given doubles unless I ask for a double. We got a shock when the bill came!!!
An Elizabethan manor nestled along a quiet road just 5 minutes from my home and gone unnoticed by me for the 40 years I've lived in Horley. The car park was full, however it was so peaceful and tranquil sitting on the terrace overlooking the Tudor/Elizabethan garden.A very pleasant experience indeed, along with the company of family and friends to share my daughter's upcoming wedding by way of an afternoon tea hen party for grown ups.
We went for afternoon tea which was a gift from Christmas. Venue is beautiful and the afternoon tea was really nice. Only disappointment was the service which was very slow. We asked for a wine list when we sat down and had to ask again once they brought the tea.
We went for afternoon tea and took friends as a treat as part of a buy a gift voucher. The service of the staff was without question excellent, but the tea itself was very disappointing. i think they forgot to put the leaves in the English breakfast tea - it was extremely weak. The sandwiches were not freshly made and were dry and cold where they had been kept in the fridge. We upgraded our voucher to a glass of champagne. I knew the cost, but I was not impressed to be charged £4.50 service charge on top of four glasses of champagne costing £10 a glass. Lovely historical building but wouldn't return for afternoon tea - it was not great and poor value for money.
We had afternoon tea, the service was very good but the food, not so much. The bread for the sandwiches wasn't very fresh. The miniscule puddings were very bland. The best things on the plate were the scones. For the money there wasn't much food, I've certainly had better at other venues. We wouldn't return for afternoon tea.
Woke up to find our room infested with ants (is 1000-odd ants an infestation??). Complained via email to the acting General Manager (he wasn't there when we went to reception), he was rude, sarcastic, blamed me for the problem and refused to acknowledge the problem. I escalated the issue to a higher level who thought an appropriate apology was to offer me an 'upgrade to the next level' if I booked again (to me that seems like them getting an easy booking rather than compensating us. )
All in all pretty shocking Customer Service so it is with regret that I would not recommend this hotel
The ladies we met on reception were lovely though!
