Primary Health Care providing a range of services to patients in the Ashington area.

LMG was formed in 1968 when a number of Family Doctors in Ashington came together to provide medical services to the community. The original principles of providing patient care of the highest quality through team work as well as being a Teaching Practice, remain to this day. We are keen to support the NHS and provide training for all whilst ensuring we keep up to date with medical developments. The original house is now only used for administration purposes as a ground floor purpose-built extension provides disabled access to all our medical services, including NHS Community Staff such as District Nurse, Midwife, Health Visitors, Dietitian and Podiatry not to mention a hundred hour Pharmacy.

In April 2017 Lintonville joined forces with Wellway and Brockwell Medical Groups to create Valens Medical Partnership, which now looks after around 50, 000 patients. The new practice is led by 18 GP partners, has about 200 people working across several sites. It has been created to widen the range of services available to patients, make it easier for them to access specialist care and take advantage of opportunities available to larger-scale practices under the developing NHS primary care management regime.
