What a fantastic salon! The staff are amazing and so very welcoming and accommodating, I won my style as part of a prize and was booked in with the incredibly talented George, the style he has given me is edgy and manageable, I love it! Thank you so much, I will definitely be back!

Was a lovely place , Scarlett my hairdresser was fab as iv not had my hair done in two years .. I have a bit of a fear as iv had bad experiences , but she was warm and Kind , and iv forgotten the name of the person who washed my hair but they threw in a complimentary condition treatment and a head massage as it was my birthday !! Xx loved every minute of it ! Thanks guys xxx great start to my birthday !! Thanks guys ��

The cut and the color they did are just gorgeous. Booked there for highlights and cut, but finally what I wanted was more complicated than that and took much more time but they managed to handle it very professionally ! I really appreciated that they told me that there would be a price ajustement BEFORE they began. All the staff are really kind and attentive to you, there is a really dynamic and friendly atmosphere. Thank you very very much Darren for your incredible work ! I really would come again if I was staying in Brighton :) (Sorry for bad English)

Rang to see if I could sneak an appointment before a party I was going to the next day and the staff could not have been more accommodating to fit me in. Really quirky and lovely salon. I booked in to get my hair dyed with Scarlett. Scarlett was fab!! Really listened to what I wanted, looked after me with lots of beverages and did an amazing job on my hair. Everyone was friendly and the resident dog mr pickles was a bonus!! Couldn't recommended lipstick and gunpowder enough.

I treated myself to a wash cut&blow dry and colour for my Birthday. I couldn't be happier. ... a lady called Maria did my hair! She did such a fantastic job of matching and cover all my old mixed match tones I had. She understood my hair took time to give me exactly what I asked for :) Nice cut and lovely smooth finish. The staff are friendly and great customer service. The salon played some top tunes....

& funky deco. Over all a lovely atmosphere

I immediately felt comfortable at Lipstick and Gunpowder! Rhiann did some lovely nails for me, before Darren gave a great hair cut! Thanks so much guys, really warm welcome and good genuine chats with all the staff. Great cup of tea too! I will certainly be back! Thanks Kate too for your lovely hosting. I was strutting my stuff home with my sexy new hair! :)

I had my nails done by the lovely Rhian and my hair done by the amazing and hilarious Ali. They literally brightened my day and made me laugh so much. I've never felt so welcome or so comfortable in a salon before. I 100% recommended both these lovely ladies and this awesome little salon. Why are you still reading this.. get booking already! �✌�

I had my hen do here and it was fabulous! The staff were so friendly and fun! They went way out of their way to accommodate us, even taking a delivery of food and laying it all out on plates, with drinks in champagne flutes. We had hair and make up done and all looked beautiful and ready to face the night in Brighton. We had a great time and I would recommend it to anyone wanting a hen do - why go to a stuffy spa when you can come here and be pampered while having fun! Thanks so much!

She was professional as well as super-friendly, and I am really pleased with my haircut.



The great thing about this salon is that it's got that unique edge as it's not a chain salon like so many others in Brighton. I'll definitely be going back, because not only are the staff great, it's as welcoming as can be, and the price is reasonable. Thank you!

I had a highlight with Scarlet and it has turned out fantastic, I absolutely love it. It was the first time I had a colour here and I highly recommend it. Very efficient, very thorough, very lovely. Thanks very much.

I decided to Dye my hair from black to blonde for the summer and after a cut with Darren a few months ago I decided he was amazing! I don't trust people with my hair generally as there have been many mistakes but Darren has ensured that my hair remains in the best condition even after bleaching! The hairdressers itself is a fun place to be and everyone is always happy and singing with great taste in music :) Highly recommend it!

Had my hair done by maria. I am so in love. She spent such time and care ensuring that my hair was left in the best condition and style it could possibly be. She had a good challenge of turning me from red to blue. She made her own shades of amazing colours to create such a unique look for me. I thought it was so impossible and she proved anything is possible :) i will definately be coming to see maria more often :D there is no hairdresser like her.. overall this salon deserves a big 10 out of 10. The staff are all lovely and friendly with such crazy personalities. Its fantastic! There is no other salon like it. You certainly feel pampered and spoily in this place :D

Had an impromptu birthday treat; hair and make up with a friend. Maria put my hair up in a 40's style masterpiece. It truly was a work of art. Rhiann did our make up, my request was "glamourous" and she delivered glamour and some! Had such a lovely afternoon; such a quirky little salon (love love love the flamingo wallpaper) with lovely friendly staff. Will be back again - thank you so much 💄

Great bunch of peeps.Make you very welcome,cheeky glass of wine on arrival if desired or needed.Great way to relax,or enjoy a great selection of teas.Darren gave me a great hair cut and colour.Loved it.Will be back soon.Thank you.��x

Fabulous salon with very talented staff. George spent most of today correcting my awful blonde/ginger hair and overgrown roots into a work of art! My hair is now a multi-tonal ash blonde/silver and in perfect condition after treatment. The salon has super friendly staff, a lovely atmosphere and wine! I would definitely recommend this salon and look forward to visiting in future.

Booked a wash, cut and blow dry for myself and my daughter as a treat on a weekend break in Brighton. Chris Dawson was our stylist and did such an amazing job. I really liked how he discussed our wants and wishes before and during the cut and how he talked us through what he was doing or what he was gonna do next. So professional and curteous, putting my hair in his hands was a pleasure and we both felt amazing afterwards. Didn't get the name of the assistant on duty but she was great and always ready to react every time Chris asked for something. We will definitely be back if we're ever looking for a haircut in Brighton. Thanks you guys, you made us feel amazing �

Listens to what I'm looking for, interacts with ideas and suggestions and most of all executes a great job every time. Everyone else who works here is also lovely, they all take the time to greet you, have a quick chat and generally make you feel welcome at all times. Best salon I've ever been to and have no intention of ever going anywhere else now I've found this gem.
