Lower Brenchly Farm is owned and run by Keely Harrison, Ashford Valley Pony Club's chief instructor, she has over 19 years experience in the equestrian industry.
For 10 years she worked for Anne Brickell producing show animals up to HOYS level , hence she is a real perfectionist when it comes to turnout. She then, 5 years ago, set up her own yard where She continued producing show horses /ponies as well as racing ponies. Both of which proved to be a great success. We won the South East Racing title several times and had over 40 winners. These two disciplines require completely different fitness and training.
In the showing “off season”, she worked at Coolmore Thoroughbred Stud in Ireland through the breeding season and the following year she did a breeding season in Kentucky, USA. Keely was also fortunate enough to spend five months work experience with Pippa Funnell. In the “off season” her most challenging experience was working in Newmarket breaking yearlings.
Keely's other huge passion is teaching both adults and children to learn to ride and I would like them to benefit from her experiences.
