We stayed here last night. 26-08-2018. As We tend to stay here around 5 times a year after getting married at the Luton Hoo 7 years ago. We decided to try the country club for a change. We booked a suite. Amazing room with whirlpool bath. Upon arrival the water was Hardly even warm. Phoned reception. Maintenance was with us in minutes. Said to try again in half an hour. Tried again and still cold. Phoned reception and told try again. We decided to go to dinner in the Wernher. Amazing food as always. Service A star. Headed back to the room and the water was still cold. The duty manager. Brian Wilson (I think his name was) and Cornelis came over ( one of the porters). They both agreed water was not getting hot at all. They then decided to swap our room to a junior suite in the mansion house. Absolutely amazing room. Even bigger whirlpool bath. Plenty of space and a perfect view. Can not thank the staff enough here. Perfect staff and always happy to help where they can. We will definitely be coming back again. Thank you so much for a perfect weekend.

User

We stayed here for a night as we were attending a function on the estate. We had booked a deluxe room and were not disappointed. We were greeted at the door and after checking in we were shown to our room. A porter brought our luggage. I particularly liked the fact that there was a nespresso maker to enjoy a coffee after a long journey. We ordered drinks to be delivered to the room and enjoyed them on the terrace in the sun. My son enjoyed the chocolate in his welcome bag. The bed was comfortable and we had a great nights sleep. Breakfast was served in the dining room and there was a good choice of food. We enjoyed a stroll round the gardens, which are beautiful and also managed a short swim in the pool but restricted family time for swimming meant we could only get half an hour. It would be better if it started earlier as young children wake up early!

User

We just had our wedding there stayed in room number 08 , amazing view service from the beginning to the end , the food is absolutely amazingly delicious brilliant service would go again when we back to London love from Paris .

User

We had a disappointing visit to the restaurant in October last year but last night we had an amazing experience thanks to Piers (the sommelier) and our waiter. From arrival to departure I can, without doubt, say we had excellent service, drinks and food. We had pre dinner cocktails, I would highly recommend the Hoo Dew while seated in the Great Hall before being escorted to our table in the stunning Wherner Restaurant. One of our party is gluten and dairy free and the attention she received before we were seated and while ordering were second to none. The food was delicious, cooked and presented to perfection, I would recommend the Cornish Crab to start and the Belly Pork or Guinea Fowl for mains, however the menu is seasonal so may change. We had the Sauvignon Blanc wine which arrived perfectly chilled and then placed in a ice bucket, Piers, our waiter and the manager made sure our wine and water glasses were topped up, in fact everything about the table service was exceptional. Many many thanks for such a lovely evening, this is exactly what we hoped for and very much look forward to returning.

Thanks again to Piers and our waiter.

User

The most amazing place for a wedding, start to finish. I canā€™t praise the staff enough; Ebony in particular, was a pure delight on my Wedding day, always on hand and available and the day ran ever so smoothly mainly down to this young woman. Thank you for an unforgettable (wedding) weekend!

User

I returned to the Luton Hoo Hotel after a year and realised what I had missed during that time. A

Beautiful hotel and fine dining in the main restaurant.

I enjoyed a wonderful lunch in my favourite dining room and drinks pre lunch in the sumptuous setting of the Bar. The service was better than ever with a Staff that were helpful, efficient and happy. I must say that does it for me every time - nothing worse than a lot of miserable faces around. With such beautiful grounds and buildings I knew I will be returning regularly

to Luton Hoo.

User

Had a fantastic time the food was amazing the staff were very attentive and willing to help .When we had a problem it was resolved so well done .Afternoon tea was very nice again staff were there to help and make sure we had a lovely time .very clean and tidy beautiful views and the snow was a bonus .All the staff did an amazing job thank you ļæ½

User

As an event coordinator and decorator I was delighted to find the staff at the Luton Hoo not only extremely helpful, but highly professional in their approach, attitudes and execution. I have been to 100ā€™s of different Hotels across the Uk , this was without doubt the best service I have witnessed, I congratulate each and every one of the staff, wish a higher rating was available, you deserve it.

User

Unfortunately after many stays at Luton Hoo this one was quite disappointing! Adamā€™s Brasserie was disorganised chaos for dinner and breakfast, drink and food orders continuously wrong. No air conditioning in the room on a very hot night even after reporting it, the family room only equipped for two people, towels, glasses etc and there were three people booked. Very disappointed on Sunday morning to discover children were unable to swim between 11-3.30. All in all this weekend was not value for money.

User

Stayed at the Luton Hoo for a friends wedding. Nice location and some beautiful features inside and nice grounds to explore. Staff friendly with various standards of dress. This down to attention to detail. ie pressing of uniform, correct size and fitting etc. We ate in Adams on the first night. Friendly, polite staff. Ā£17 for a burger that you'd pay around Ā£8.95 for elsewhere. Nothing special about it. Upon returning to our room we couldn't believe the noise from the band playing 2 floors down. It was like they were outside our room, room 34. We went to reception to complain and they reacted like this was the first time this had happend. Eventually they offered us another room but it was now 9.45pm. We had unpacked and were tired. We were told the music would finish at midnight. (It finished at 00.15). We went to the bar for a drink and to sit it out, returning to our room at 11.30pm. No offer of a complimentary drink.

The cost of the drinks is extortionate. Ā£3 for a small glass of coke poured from a 1.5 ltr bottle, Ā£6.95 for a single measure of gin unless you had Gordons which was Ā£3.15. Check your bill as they tried to charge us Ā£32.80 for the two Gordons gin and tonics we had ordered.

All in all a very expensive stay in an average hotel.

User

Really Nice rooms and the estate is amazing,. Loved the snooker room and that you could phone for drinks.

Otherwise service so-so, not very attentive or professional. Uniforms just sad and miss fitting .

Adams brasserie not even half as good as main restaurant and staff not very attentive.

Been before for afternoon tea and werthers dinner, that was great!

User

Great package of hotel, spa and golf. Looks beautiful, great rooms. Only draw back is slow service in food in the Flower Garden restaurants and some confusion over the mini bar packages at the front desk.

The dining halls and food in the main Mansion house were brilliant.

Great place for a girlā€™s getaway; couples weekend, or for functions.

The golf course must be stunning in the summer. Very long for ladies but no bunkers so quite forgiving.

Would definitely go back.

Came for Morning Coffee for the first time in a couple of years. Whilst nice, it's nowhere near as good as it was. 1) no loose leaf tea .. teabags but still had the tea strainer; 2) no longer muffin in flower pots ... just large chocolate muffins and 3) price increase from Ā£10 to nearly double that. Nice ... but expected more or rather expected same quality as last time. Staff still very good.

User

First time staying at Luton Hoo, amazing grounds and main house. We stayed one night to include dinner and breakfast at Adams brasserie. The food was terrible, undercooked steak and staff didnā€™t have a clue what they were doing.

We were asked for our order of freshly cooked breakfast which then arrived at our table 30 seconds later. Stuff was either undercooked or over cooked and cold.

All in all a very disappointing experience for our 5 year wedding anniversary for the best part of Ā£500.

User

What a disaster and it is not like it is cheap. The rooms are lovely but thats where the positives stop!

We were guaranteed a room by 3 oā€™clock but we got into our room at 4 as the manager of the restaurant kindly let us in as he said it was not acceptable we were still waiting for our key. We had to wait a further 15 minutes and ANOTHER phone call to receive a key so we could leave the room and use the spa. The spa is nice but the floor is filthy and soaking wet. Nowhere to put your towels!

We had lunch in the bar and the chips were luke warm - not the end of he world but they were Ā£4!

I have emailed, asked for management to call and emailed again - nothing! Ordered room service as couldnā€™t cope with the rude, unprofessional staff again at dinner. Calamari was vile! No sauce provided or butter for cheese and biscuits (Ā£12).

This was a present from my mum and I will awful telling her we considered leaving as it is so disappointing. The staff do not care. Its a joke!

User

We stayed here for one night recently for a large family celebration. Amazing house and grounds but sadly the food was mediocre and the service was terrible. Staff didn't seem to know what they were doing and seemed inadequately trained in the basics. We had one unexpected extra guest to our table which we informed them about 4 hours before and they were extremely inflexible and we overheard one of the staff complaining loudly about it.

Also, staff looked really shoddy in mismatched un-ironed uniforms. Not at all what you would expect from this level of hotel.

User

Staff are really friendly. Food service coffee was cold. Food was not very tasty at Adamā€™s brasserie, chips were half uncooked. Spa was terrible. The whole place needs to be refurbished. Fixtures and fittings either damaged or worn. Changing room was tiny and the showers in the pool area and changing rooms were cold. Will not be coming back.

Its a joke!
