Sideways Sessions will be taking place on the 1st of December 2018. Please note there is a noise limit of Static: 100db and Drive By: 92db on all vehicles out on track and noise breaks may be put in without much notice. The Sideways Sessions will be running along-side the Car Track Day. The Sideways Sessions will be from 13:00 until 16:00, this will be running in an open pit lane format with a damp circuit. All drivers must have long sleeves and long trousers. All Drifters mu...st be a member of Lydden Hill Motorsport Club, if you aren’t already a member of LHMC then memberships can be purchased for only £15 which is valid until December 31st 2018.
Sign on is from 7:30am, the drifters briefing is from 12:40 until 12:50, sound testing is from 12:50 until 12:55, then the sideways sessions begin.

Congratulations to our new Lord of Lydden Danny Webb #99 along with 2018 Sidecar Burnup Champions Tim Reeves and passenger Mark Wilkes!

amazing day today at the motormania event, walking around the machines in the pits and the owners were all too happy for my son to sit in/on most of them for photos. all topped off by a fantastic fireworks display! only improvement for next year would be a little more sunshine!!

What a drift day. Loved it from first minute ...���

The track itself was brillant the cars I drove were amazing my only fault is with Everyman racing who I booked it with very false advertising the way they described it I would be able to drive the cars myself after going round with the instructor first !!!! Then they kept adding on things like insurance which is a complete waste of money to be honest if you have an instructor in the car with you the chances of crashing etc are pretty much nil and void so think twice before purchasing it I mean it is £25 a car £45 for 2 !!! How much do they get in a day £40 to video you which would have been great but the in car video stopped working on the one car I wanted it to record apart from my faults I found I did enjoy most of it the instructors are fantastic they made my day so to them I say thank you very much

Lydden Hill is my favourite Rallycross Circuit to Race on or to spectate at, it is in a bowl so can see all the track from any point on the track with easy access.

Just wanted to say thank you to all of the people involved in putting such a fantastic meeting on for the Lord of Lydden event at the weekend, my son raced in the Junior Lord of Lydden race and loved the circuit. Thanks again to all involved

I attended the sideways Saturday and just wanted to say I really liked the new track layout and the way it was run. I really hope you continue with the drift days next year and every one I spoke to yesterday said the same. The kidney track was so much fun ���I would definitely do it again ���

Great day at Lydden on the 17th Feb.. grateful as always to the staff and Marshals. Great weather but must be cold on the posts... thanks again .. see you all in March

First time ever to this circuit and how lucky was I to deliver Liam Doran's race cars to the circuit in my truck , great atmosphere , food prices good and those showers were very clean and powerful and I even had full phone signal and team wifi - great job Lydden , let's hope you get planning sorted for such an iconic venue

Brilliant time this wkend! We camped both nights and after last year's 2 hour wait to get out we packed our tent up Sunday morning and moved our truck to the top of car park !

We were out by 4.10 ☺ Happy days!

Then a 6.5 hour drive home though, But worth it!

Another fantastic weekend at the World RX event at Lydden Hill. It is such a shame that this was the last for a while but after speaking with Pat in the paddock we are sure it will be back bigger and better in the not too distant future. The facilities, entertainment, racing, closeness to the track is second to none. We've never been to any other track where you can stand in one place and see the whole track. The family atmosphere and fans mixing together and having a great time is lovely. We travel over 5 hours to get there but it is always worth it. As the track is so difficult to exit we always have a look around the paddock, chat with the drivers etc then set off. It took us just 15 minutes to leave after having a browse in the paddock for an hour. Well done Lydden and the Doran family once again.

Amazing day out today the advent was great and the kiddies loved it.. defintly coming back. Well worth the 20£ and a great day out for the bank hoilday monday :)

We also had a very good Sunday, we did come over from Holland early Sunday.

The weather and atmosphere was good. Had been a while since we visited European or World RX events, but this one was to important not to visit. Loved the older rallycross cars, bringing back memories as we also organized local Rallycross events during the seventies and eighties in Holland. It was amazing to see how much difference there is between the 1967 Porsche 911 and RX cars now. My personal most interesting years is just before the four wheel drives. So good to see those cars again. I first visited the event in 1981

Shame its not organized in Lydden anymore.

The different amount of cars you can drive is quite good.

Is it worth the money than I would say probably not but my recipient did enjoy their day.

Now the negative points. There seemed to be a lot of people complaining about the amount of time they had to wait & yes I would agree races were so pose to be half he gaps but ours were running into over 1 hr wait. My husband noticed on 1 car that the tyre was done to the core. When we questioned them with this they said slick is ok but refuse to believe the core was showing. They then pointed out whilst laughing that it's only the publics safety. You can imagine my answer to this but I just received abuse & laughter from them(about 6 marshal's).

In conclusion would we go again here well sorry but no I have been places much better than this for driving. (mayhem as a gentleman put it) sums up how quite a few people felt that day �

Only give less stars as could be cheaper and I would have liked to be allowed to drive faster.

Brilliant weekend at the World RX event. View of the track was fantastic wherever you stood. Had Grandstand tickets for Sunday and seating was ok if not a little cramped and dated. People were also stood against the fence in the Grandstand area restricting the view of the awesome action.

Camped on site and atmosphere was great. Facilities done the job. Leaving the circuit was not the best of experiences. Waiting for the best part of 2 hours to get out. This put a massive downer on what was otherwise a smashing weekend.

On the whole it was an amazing weekend of top class racing. Well done Lydden Hill, shame it's moving next year.

You need to sort out more exits,been sitting in car park for an hour now and havent moved an inch,your organisation is so bad

Waste of money. BHP performance car show. Where because we spent about half an hour there and it was totally rubbish. £20 each to get in. What a con. Would have had more fun watching the grass grow. No stars awarded as it was total s**t.

Making it out to be a fantastic day but charging spectators £15.50 each in advance for the Classic Festival (Saturday) all for 3 trade stands and a few (max 10) classic cars- there for an hour and even the food vans suggesting the Kent County Show for a better day!! Saw hundreds of classic cars and had so much more fun at Detling!! Don’t waste your money- a few occasions the advertising has been hyped up way more than what actually happens! We wont be going to Lydden again!
