Maison Française D'Oxford Description

The Maison Française d’Oxford is a French research centre.

It develops research programmes with academic departments of the University of Oxford and other British and French universities.

We organise and host events ranging from single-speaker lectures or seminars (such as the "Literature" series), day-workshops on specialist topics, through to two or three-day conferences.

The Maison Française d'Oxford also houses a French Library specializing in French culture and society. The collections are made up of 30, 000 books, 50 periodicals, and a Film Library of approximately 1000 films, mostly fiction. Our collections can be found on SOLO (http://solo. bodleian. ox. ac. uk /), the University of Oxford’s Libraries network.
