We've been coming to the mountains of North Wales for over 30 years. It's a completely magical place, miles from anywhere with an ancient stone circle very nearby. . Manon is our nearest neighbour and lives nearly 2 miles away on her grandfather's farm (he's the wonderful man talking about needing a shelf for his Gin and Tonic in one of our earlier videos). Manon raided her grandmother's wardrobe which is full of the most incredibly beautiful vintage clothes from BIBA. There ...were so many to chose from... we'll share some more soon. . We got totally soaked taking these shots and went for a long walk in the temperate rain forest nearby. There's something very beautiful that happens when you get really really comfortable... if you're anything like me it will usually start with some sort of gentle squeal of delight, followed by an almost immediate shift from all the stuff that's whirring around in my head to a mindful state of calm, quickly followed by a luscious snooze...and it's not just me either. We were getting everything set up this afternoon and Marnie was asleep within seconds... . So if you're lookin...g for somewhere to relax your mind as well as your body, you know where to come xxx . Who knows where the term loveseat came from, but somehow it has made its way in as the name of this gloriously cosy chair. We took it outside this week into the late autumn sun and Marnie jumped in wearing her lovely new cord suit. She was going to wear her white one but she spilt her breakfast on it on the way over to Kemps xx This photo is one of a series we've been taking for a very exciting project we've just finished...the first issue of our magazine! It's called SONG an...d is packed with lovely photos and stories and some delicious recipes as well. We've found some lovely recycled paper to print it on as well. Last weekend, Otti and Hero were having a jumping on beds competition, they were seeing who could jump from the highest point which ended when Otti climbed on top of a cupboard for a special jump and the bed base snapped in half...I'm happy to say the same thing didn't happen when Marnie jumped spectularly high onto our new corduroy sofa. Here it is in a lovely blue we've called Pigeon. You can find lots of wonderful new colours on our website. If you want one in time for Christmas let us know soon! xxx

Do you know what's really inside your sofa or armchairs? Chances are there's a lot of plastic foam. We do things differently at Maker&Son - ours are made from 100% natural materials, no plastic foam, no velcro, just cotton, feathers, natural latex, wool, jute and hand coiled springs.
